All I can say is if you ever feel bloat in your abdomen....then 2 days later intense pain and it starts moving lower and right (don't be an idiot like me and wait 2 days) GET TO A HOSPITAL!!!! Mine ruptured and spilled fecal into my body. I'm going to be fine....but if I waited any longer.
The differences between brands are less apparent on 30 ton or less. If EFFER ever goes out of biz or fails to innovate on their designs I would consider palfinger and maybe a couple others. But right now EFFER is so far ahead on design I can't make a sports hero comparison that equals
Xman has been working too hard and is delusional. Palfinger the best.....joke. X you demoed the largest palfinger. That truck weighs around 24000 lbs more than my custom EFFER 1750.......yet at 120 ft radius my EFFER picks 3400 lbs. Last time I checked the palfinger picks about HALF!
Ecstatically happy for you guys. It's really an advantage buying one already built.....you don't have to wait 6-8 mos.....and making payments the whole time :). Be careful and enjoy!
Yeah the one in Willems photo is the standard 1750! (it has the standard o/r's) the 1750 is the largest "true" knuckleboom (meaning you can fold sideways on truck) that is made. Did I mention I really dig working with "chucklebooms". :0
That's the same model that Mike Poor uses. That is nearly the same as my 55 ton. The 175 ton picks 3400 lbs at 120 foot radius (he capacity was bumped up over the standard Effer 1750 because it has the X style out riggers) I can use more extensions on it.....to get more reach....but the...
Good luck Blinky! With Your experience you'll be fine. If something doesn't feel right....stop and rethink for a sec ..and put a butt line on it if you need. Anytime I need to "get a high but strong anchor point" I put a sling up maybe too high...then put a spider leg down lower (in case the...
Re: I\'m an advocate for child labor!
This would be a bad time for me to post photos of my son setting slings while flying on the crane when he was 8. (35 ft one pick spruces) I have to agree about chipping and sawing though. My dad had me on a lot of jobs as early as 3. My worst injury was a...
Hats off to "NewDirty" I think everyone has known all along that he knows what he's doing. I also think everyone is judged more on attitude more than anything else. (some of the OD statements had me rollin'.....some not so much ....way to personal)
I've been saying it for 19 yrs now Knucklebooms will out produce sticks on Any site. I used AT & TC's for years. We have dozens of great arborists in my area. Co's with lots of crane exp... ( How do I say.....and still try to sound halfway modest, on all the nastiest crane rmvs I'm doing...
Nice Fagus! I bet there is one of those on every block over there. That would be an exceptional Beech here and no one would ever let it be removed. It looked like you knew exactly what every pick was going to do....experience!
