Very nice! Welcome to the few of us that make up the k-boom group in the USA. I'm sorry you did not get the best you can buy, Palfinger, but at least you got a decent K-boom.

I guess not all of us can afford the best equipment.

Palfinger and PM didn't take me seriously, when I tried to inquire and about their cranes, but Effer seemed to have a solid reputation and called me back.

People in the concrete industry sure love Effer Cranes, and since k-booms are sparse in the tree industry I took their word for it.

Love to see a Palfinger your in action

Xman has been working too hard and is delusional. Palfinger the best.....joke. X you demoed the largest palfinger. That truck weighs around 24000 lbs more than my custom EFFER 1750.......yet at 120 ft radius my EFFER picks 3400 lbs. Last time I checked the palfinger picks about HALF!

The differences between brands are less apparent on 30 ton or less. If EFFER ever goes out of biz or fails to innovate on their designs I would consider palfinger and maybe a couple others. But right now EFFER is so far ahead on design I can't make a sports hero comparison that equals

Thanks DavidJ and Eric Davis for the appreciation! (help deciding on purchase) Seeing Jeremy Browns smile in his avatar is the reward. I just hope everyone is careful using them.....don't want to see ANYONE GET HURT! Just to clarify I've never been paid or gotten freebies for demoes or advise to kboom buyers. (trip to EFFER factory in Italy would be nice....other people got free trips....hint Art L.)

Wow this is more than I've posted in yrs. That's what happens when I'm down with a RUPTURED ABSCESSED APPENDIX! You are lucky all I have is this stupid iPad or I would load 50000 photos into MORE FUN WITH KNUCKLEBOOMS & 175 TON KNUCKLEBOOM if I had my pc.

we expect those pics when you get better mike! :-) I hope you feel better soon buddy! That chipper you sold me is still running fantastic. it truly was a boss of a deal, thanks man

@1:15 you had the clevis shackle turned the wrong way, you need to turn it so the screw pin is in the eye, if not some day the running part of the sling could unscrew it.

Thanks, I honestly don't think about the sling unscrewing the clevis but anything can happen in tree work.

Or screw it so tight you cant get it undone. The operator i prefer wants running rigging in the crown, static rigging (choker eye) at the bolt and the bolt barely finger tight.

Nice cautious work David J! Thanks everyone for the well wishes.....been in the hospital all week again (surgeon= recklessly neglectful) got a call from Art today. He really is the best. Offered to drive out from Ohio to help me around house etc and was serious. He mentioned that kboomers :Allmark, Morgan, TCI Eric, David J were ready to help me out! That really lifted my spirits! THANK YOU! Not that far down......yet and hope to scrap my way out of this but again thanks
