I'm pretty sure that diagram is supposed to be the joystick showing that switch. If so, there is nothing else on it.
Fuese are cheap...maybe I'll try hooking up on/off and switch open/closed to see if that is the cause.
I didn't pay attention...but I wonder if I had the switch to "rotation" when I plugged it in. Pretty sure the machine was running when I plugged it in...I'd have picked up the attachment, and not likely turned it off to plug it in. That wouldn't be unreasonable to pop a fuse if it tried to...
This is the adapter made by Rainbow for the QJ Air.
This is the Rainbow and the old ArborJet. The reason I like the rainbow better is the valve. Otherwise both are the same size
So after touting the Q connect adapter earlier today I went to use it for the first time this season. Hose isn't sealing into the quick connection and it's leaking.
Fortunately I have an old ArborJet T that someone getting rid of old equipment so I kept going. Option C would have been plugs...
If the plugless T is the only reason you'd buy the Qconnect then just use that T with Quickjet air. I've been doing that for 2 years.
Not saying don't get the Q connect...just that you can use the T without it.
I've not tried the Stinger needle so cannot compare if that's better or worse.
We have a winner! Simple fuse. I hadn't even thought to look there until your post...then I was also googling and saw the suggestion to check fuses.
Thanks all for the input.
Thanks for the comparison between the two. I agree the quick jet air takes some maintenance and can be finicky... And they're like their proprietary parts so it's not like I could run to the hardware store and get everything I need if it goes down today.
I haven't used the q connect. Just have...
If you want to go fast, either QuickJet Air or Rainbow's Q-connect. I have a quick jet air that I bought from another arborist who did not like it. It works great for me. I use it without plugs. I've had this since before Rainbow released their Qconnect. If I were starting from scratch, I...
Just bought a Branch Manager T1010 last week.
The wiring harness to switch from grapple to rotation was not attached... Pretty sure this was the first time the technicians have seen that harness for an Avant... It took a minute to figure out how it was supposed to go. It did not rotate at...
No question that G4 goes in easier than the OG. R10, I've never diluted, but like @macrocarpa said it is nice to be able to use a lower dose for ease of injection/quicker time at each tree. If G5 is easier to inject than G4 that would be great. I don't think I have any G4 left. I have a...
If you like that kind of thing....there is a nice documentary with engineering footage from the Space Shuttle program. Its fascinating.
But wait...I'm gonna tie this into trees!
Matt Melis (the voice in the video) had an arborist out to work on his trees (the late Mark Hoenigman). They got...
I cannot find the prices yet. It sounds like maybe better uptake. But they say their products already have great uptake...sooooo, which is it?
Previous versions are still available, so it would seem G5 needs to offer some improvement...whether that is price or uptake speed, or efficacy. I...
Reading around more, that is an anti-stalker feature (so a stalker cannot put it on victoms car, for example). I didn't even think about it in that regard so it makes sense that they identify themselves. But from an antitheft standpoint it would be great if they didn't.
