static line is awesome with mechanicals (at least with the BDB). The reason why i didn't use static lines before was because i was on a hitch-based system (hard stops), but with mechanicals and the gradual stopping, no reason not to use static lines. unless you have soft hands
For those who splice the kern or splice in general I guess, what is the firmness or bend radius of ur finished splices? I use ne rope directions if it means anything. This is different then my 24 strand splices. I feel this should be a concern, no?
I've been having a lot of trouble lately with the taper on the core. It always wants the come unbraided, resulting in only some of the strands pulling through leaving the other caught up and bunching the nice/clean taper that I need to bury the cover. I need some help with how to do this...
I was also concerned that I will lose range of motion with suspenders but I am able to move just as freely with these as I was without them. Thanks for the feedback everyone!
