RopeRunner Pre-Order

So, when ya get that gut feeling... Mine (rope runner) is due to be delivered to Humboldt Co. On Tuesday, just got 300' of Yale Kernmaster 11 mil. Not a clue about either, comments, suggestions are welcome. Going surfing in the morning!

At the company I work for the majority of the us climbers work SRT. RWs and HHs. The boss let us order a RR to try out and also have on hand to use at SRT classes we host at Morris Arboretum. My plan was to order one for myself and just try the company's one out. If it wasn't for me, I'd just return the one that I purchased. I doubt that's gonna happen. This thing's rad, I'm sure.
I'd buy it off u

If tether be too long, it could hook the bird. Also the attachment to chest harness could hook the bird. All in all I like the tending point, as it is evenly pulled. I never liked the lopsided pull.

You can see it in the first pic kinda. Somehow I lost the nub on the side of the body that keeps it from collapsing too far on ascent. And my ascent was really effed up for a while. Not really sure how it happened. Or when even. I lent it out for a while, and hadn't really been using it this winter, so I didn't take notice of it till this so called "spring" that's been going on in between periods of snow. It wasn't unsafe, just inefficient. Anyway Eric welded a nub back on for me.

I also just sent Eric my version of Baby bump body to tryout. Hopefully he will have some thoughts. I have 3D models and such but only running Voretx I don't have much to say other than I liked it on Vortex.

It's call HAZ ... Heat Affected Zone. The weld itself may be fine, but surrounding base metal may be affected, and it's a bigger issue with aluminum versus carbon steels.

On a different note, I found the RR does play well with 1/2" Arbormaster. Bollard all the way out & it grabs and releases without issue. Smooth ride.
