New TreeBuzz Ad Format???

Can we just pay a membership fee to NOT have ads? I’m very sick of getting taken to the Tracked Lifts web page.

Personally I find the cube ad (and scrolling/flipping) so repulsive I’m inherently avoiding the site.
I get the need to atleast have the buzz be self sustainable, or even make a little but there is certainly a usability issue that’s getting worse and not better.

I get where you’re coming from with all the bombardment, but I also wonder if the advertiser has any say over how the site is working.

Oh I’m sure they have zero say and/or even a knowledge of it. It’s not fair for me to hate on them for a situation they have no involvement in, but…...

I’ve found that before any action such as liking a post or hitting post reply I just have to hit refresh or I risk being taken to an advertiser’s page. Literally just happened…

Well I hope the forum doesn't fall apart due to ad intrusion problems.... The last thing I want is for the industry to become even more tictok level bs, because the more in depth discussion is why I'm here. But I also know most of us on the forum are of the... older generation, that remembers the internet before the 'great enshitification'. And I know making money on the internet is hard. We are a small audience I know, and I don't want paywalls between people and good information, but if there is somewhere/someone I can donate to, in order to help cover domain hosting or whatever I'm happy to do so.

I hate to become another ad, but if you use a VPN, the ads literally disappear. I don't want to endorse a specific brand publicly, but PM me if you want help figuring that out. I hate to cut the buzz out of the ad revenue, but if the altermative is not even opening the site anymore then it's 6 vs half dozen...

I never tried a stand alone ad blocker, but I believe a lot of those are free, so worth trying.
