90% of the cranes that we use in tree work from rental companies have limited amount of experience with trees. What was helpful in this event was the crane was large and the weakest link in the system (other than the brains of all involved) was the slings.
I would also add that the slings were...
I really think the top one...but I think a few more options woukd be nice. I like the lettering. It's just seams a but busy with the tree or the crane inserted. You want to brand your name and reputation.
I agree...most people are not going to recognize the crane. You think your GC is going to know what that Is? I would focus on a super professional logo that does not incorporate your crane into the logo. One people start seeing you around town with your truck, crane, and logo...they will make...
Just read the post and I find it very interesting. Intresting because the tables have turned. I remember it quit well when Mark was running his own shit storm when the rope wrentch came out and it's usefulness in competition etc.
This whole thread is stupid. I'm stupid too for replying to it. Mark is done here? Mark has never even been here long enough to make a contribution to the treebuzz community. Hates Drama? This whole post is posted to cause Drama. Where are the legends at.... is my question? The members who...
Don't buy this truck...You can accomplish just as much from a brand new ladder. 40 feet is useless in a bucket truck. Never mind the condition of the truck.
Yes, very common. Morbark will not stand behind it. Mine was a 2009 and broke at 800 hours. You must be using it to chip concrete....or else this wouldn't have happened:)
Nice job man!! I read this thread and was happy to see your progress. I think you made a good choice on this. I now like the idea of one of the dump trailers with a platform to flu behind this tuck. On that platform you can have a stump grinder. Now one truck and one guy can get Grinder, dingo...
Buy the second truck. I know its not mounted right on the rear....but it is a taller truck and you will find that very useful. The price is pennies more compared to what you can do with a bucket verses climbing. Plus that are willing to paint it...so it will look very professional.
Just buy a log truck. Even a single axel log truck is better than what your planning to do. If the wood is a problem now....it will be a problem until you get a log truck. You can still stay small with big equipment. I know how your thought process is going. I was in the same boat when I started...
Thats it man! Thats what I am taking about. I don't know if your remember but I said....once you start this you will be amazed at the possibilities and the doors that will open. It happened to me when I bought my crane. I can't believe the doors that have opened and the projects I am working on...
Looking for some contacts in Southern France. I will only be available for two days but will have very little to do those days. My wife is on a working holiday and I am going with her. We will actually be in France for 2 weeks, but I will be sight seeing most of those days. BUT, I have two days...
Im confused by this whole thing. Fire your accountant....QB online is fine. What do you need to write for an estimate anyways? Your billing by the hour. So, you tell them you charge 150 an hour port to port. Have your terms and conditions sent to them via email. They can reply back...that is as...
I was not a business owner at the time. But the company I worked for struggled for some time. They had a TON of debt and had to make the payments and keep people employed. This too was a small company of 9 field workers. They laid off 5 workers. They had three crews and they went down to 1...
This is the stuff that everyone running a business deals with. This is the cost to play the game. The game is owning your own business. I remember it like it was yesterday..(because it was not that long ago for me) The vast majority of people who start their own business can not get through...
I am interested. Can you text me at 802.275.8947? So we can discuss how I would get this to the US. Due to some bad choices when I was a young teenager on a visit to Canada, I am afraid I can not cross the boarder. You could call as well.
