We can get a group rate under 10 and Kaiser Permanente will accept pre-existing conditions. Which, means well most likely go with Kaiser.
It's a big step for me/the company.
How many employers provide health insurance benefits for their employees?
How many employees get benefits?
Can any employers let me know how it has helped improve moral, loyalty, retain talent, etc... (If any at all).
I'm getting close to providing this for my employees soon.
Good for you. I too have thought of this very idea. I even have scetches of it.
However, if the industry can produce just a chain-like device (to eliminate the need of a cord), it would be even more awesome. It would nearly last a lifetime with stainless steel parts too.
Just a thought:

It's difficult to think of loosing my child to a poor decision I made. I think I would rather die than live with myself. I'm quessing the father is thinking the same right now.
Hopefully, some sort of positive can come out of this. (I'm trying to be nice).

I suppose the only advantage those would have is the button is always in the same place. I've got small ear pieces in to some Motorolas and it can be difficult to find with gloves on.

I can't see what was the issue, but it didn't look like this kid has a T.I.P. Just a lanyard?

Re: TCI\'s Effer 655 Knuckle Boom
Have you guys run into a scenario where you can only put the riggers out, on the side of the truck you are picking on? For example, parallel parking close to a curb and putting the riggers in a lawn, but the street is so narrow that you can't put them out on...

Sweet. I'd love to have a Kboom just to see what creative ideas come to mind when in different scenarios. I wouldn't have thought of that (not ever used one).
I was under the impression that most Kboom owners didn't want anything hitting the boom, thus the multiple slings.
But, I suppose that is for further picks.
Close picks can have longer slings to avoid contact with the boom.
Or, is it not really as much of a concern as some would think?
Good topic Jesse.
And it sounds like I'll have to un-ignore Old Dirty and start to read his posts once again. Nice!
I've never used a Kboom, but I've had a good grasp on what it would be like making the picks with one. Frankly, a lot of "no brainer" picks I do with crane work, I set up the...
I had a lovely conversation with an angry, irrational, and selfish neighor (to an HOA we were working for) last week.
It must be Spring. All of the nutty people blooming right now.

It's difficult to figure out how he managed that. Couldn't have been much of a hinge for it to just go over sideways like that.

I too was wondering what he did wrong. But, I bet you're right; he cut his hinge wood.

Ask that dude why he wanted to cut the tree down, bet you anything "I was worried it would fall on the house" is the response.
Oops.

I had to laugh out loud on that! I bet money that was the reason for cutting it down.
I'd love to see a follow up video of the damage...
