    Hinge wood

@rico hey brother how are these. The larger pine had heavy side lean reason why I left thicker hinge on right side. All other opinions are welcome, here to advance and improve not to feed my ego.

    uv rope damage

I left a 1/2" bull rope in my backyard exposed to the environment rain/sun/snow for about 5-6 months. Grabbed it one day to rip a 18" inch stump off the ground with my 3500 dually and it worked just fine, didn't snap.

I figured I will only be using this bar on the larger trees and I don’t do does on a daily basis so the bar will hardly get used.

    Wedgin' n jackin'

If you use a small piece of stick when cutting a stump across low the ground it will skid that stump off the stump as soon as you done cutting as pose with a wedge it pushes opposite of the wedge. If that makes sense, I used to do the wedges until old timber faller showing little stick trick...

    CLIMBING HAZARDOUS OAK TREE

So far I’ve never had a problem using gravity to chunk 7-10ft sections. The closer to the ground the smaller the section since it has less distance to flip over. Land flat every time, learned it from the fundamental. But I agree, if ever in doubt put a rope.

    CLIMBING HAZARDOUS OAK TREE

Hey Eric thanks for your response as always. I was thought that when cutting face/chin high your using more of your shoulder than your back meaning less control of your saw and in the event of a kickback you have the saw right on your face or cut your neck off, if cutting chest high you have...

    CLIMBING HAZARDOUS OAK TREE

Hey Eric I have a few questions about this video of yours and I also wanted to hear others input so wanted to share it on here. Why does it look like you’re almost cutting shoulder high, or above your ahead around 9:14 instead of more level chest high with the saw. Also looks like your life...

    CLIMBING HAZARDOUS OAK TREE

I agree 100%. And thank you to everyone who has tuned in and given their input. I have a question tho. If you guys are suggesting that my best choice was spear cut, what does it matter if I purposely cut through my hinge in my humboldt cut? I definitely get i rushed on everything, that...

    CLIMBING HAZARDOUS OAK TREE

That top would have come down one me if I would have cut through it without notching it. Yes tree trunk had significant lean was lean, but that top was vertical, trunk leaned hard, too turned and shoot Straight up, so I definitely disagree with you on that one. Snaps cut it was also not an...

    CLIMBING HAZARDOUS OAK TREE

Thanks for tuning in brother. Yes indeed chain was dull and super tight. This is an older video, posted here for this same reason, so you guys could enlighten me on some of the mistakes/tips/advice etc. I cut through it quickly I didn’t want that too holding at all, was afraid of semi...
