    24 strand is referring to strand count of the cover. Most 24 strand ropes are doible braids. Double braid means that the cover and core are both braided vs a parallel core rope where only the cover ia braided. Double braids are typically 24 strand but can be 32 or 48 strand too.

    ISC has started making a larger rope wrench to better accommodate 13mm ropes. I know Wesspur is selling then for sure.

    193-14" 201-14/16" 362-20" muffler port. Lil ripper 390-32" ported. Ripper. I want to put a 36" on it. Next saw is a lightly ported 462 w/ 28" and full wrap. A ported 395 with a 42" would be next.

    Paul is my other sensei! Helped me out plenty too and between him and Mark, taught me the same thing. Finesse, dont muscle anything. Broke a couple fids in the early stages but now Im sure Ill have my fids forever. Id be stoked to sit down and splice with Jim one day.

    Thanks for lookin out Oceans. I do do regular inspections and have been understanding splices more and more especially through breaktests. Suprisingly, I've had a handful of splices that broke in the eye and not the throat/taper.

    If you pull slack from where the eye enters the throat and push that slack the other direction then give a nice yank, you can get the eye slack out. Dave stice shows it in the wesspur class 1 db video
