Forcing descent on a friction hitch in SRT
is TOTALLY different mechanic i think vs in DdRT;
pretty outer fringe..
.
In DdRT etc. of nonSRT
The support leg w/o friction hitch riding on it/the static side
>>Can take a load shift to it, to majorly unload the opposing/control leg with friction...
My total thought process and focus on this is:
>>load simply blurs to rigid length
>>weightless, except for metal load ball /CoG placed in rigid length as total raw force(like his model shown)
>>can move CoG weight ball to different leveraged points within range of rigid length to play out...
.
i think that is just part of his basic, non-glitzy personna of just plain hard working man, perhaps that is local fashion or even sig.
.
i don't really think there is much questioning his decades of knowledge, contributions nor heart in this game.

i've wrapped that side with sling mid-climb to make that handle, put a krab in the trapping hole then a D-krab on that as extra handle side. Changed that to pull from a bottom hole, as more meant to carry force input correctly, this morphed to extra extension for foot power, with extra hand...
Can keep speed line super tight whole trip
and smash into low anchor congestiony
or
Rig to other side of street and don't need rope as tight whole way
To slop down to easier side, closer to work in open area.
.
Actually favor lower anchor 10' or so up as pulley
>>easier to get out of traffic way...
If can equitably, putt rigging forces, even speed line pulls on other tree.
>>i think best if it is balanced in opposing direction of pull.
.
If need to pull uphill to lose pieces would try to get them aligned to that target
>>then use high pulley redirect for winch, truck or even hand pull...
Shock and shake not good.
.
Would always look towards carrying load vertical, therefore would always have line Half Hitch to Running Bowline or round sling as hitch. i do not favor simple Running Bowline or eye2eye sling for anything but a right angle pull on load or support.

Set tight, and...
Overhand to fig.8 and likewise to fig.9 even another turn to fig.10 increased strength return growing more minimal as go tho. To me, Overhand wrenches more from column type support, fig.8 etc. longer, softer arcs to same end AND some force pass thru passing/traded frictions and therefore less...
To original question, device provides 3x Effort as stated.
>>2x on saddle + 1x Left hand that also is a system input.
.
As any tool, personal usage can immensely vary final results.
>>especially on nylon highway we are are not only the input, but the load as well (and most rigid framework thru...
30 degrees is 50% side loading(with only 14% column support loss requiring more tension) might be the confusion.
>>.5773 is the tangent at 30degrees, so might see own bodyweight as load x .5773 as sideforce at 39

i totally believe crane is up to task, and that operators do to.
This is totally...
Crane TIP can be raised higher reducing angle,
more than lower lift methods.
.
LIABILITY.
Whether crane, lift, bucket etc. i think all as CYA are going to say no.
In crane, the strength and stability should be there;
but unless friendly with cool operator
>>crane operators will quote the rule...
200-400 on 7k line with wear shouldn't be too much w/o impact?
.
In matching line builds (ArboPlex) of different diameter/strengths. The lesser line, will yield more elasticity to load, as it's MBS is enroached on more.
To same point, a 2/1 on load gives same strength, but cuz is now...
They had something here where you'd pay more to dump wood at city than most anything else, they'd sell it to biz next door/bull doze thru gate, then that plant grind wood and tires to some kind of mix, to then sell back to the city as fuel for electricity to be sold to consumers..
.
Big...
Looking at tree etc. and softening figured had to start even with softer species.
Would think matters less as pure column vertical against gravity of the long axis, but more concern bearing across either shorter axis, allowing long axis to be leveraged by load instead of supporting axis against...
..add Bucket Boss for toys >> more likely to have, find used than rope bag to keep cheap
bucket seats less functional and would try to find cheaper
>>if going t spend much, might as well get rope bag with pockets i think

i like a short ammo box for throw line>>ball on each end, tall boy ammo...
i think that chasing knot strength has brought us far like racing, each not as applicable to mainstream but stretches the science and understanding of the whole, and gets blood boiling to do so! Also, each is very measurable compared to other nuances.
