    rope runner

Is it better to use the top pin in the bird assembly as a slick pin or the bolt instead because it seems like my runner has a tend to get choppy because the slick pin likes to rotate. Any thoughts?

    Contract Tree Climbers Association (CTCA)...

The only way to keep making money as a sub is to stay local. That's it. There has been ideas like this in the past, it just doesn't work. The climber will always pay. I am a sub, and my old man still subs, for over 20 years. I'm not being pessimistic either I'm saying there are so many holes you...

Becket tether or oceans tether on RW.

Jump right into SRT everyone's doing it....No peer pressure or nothing. Watch a couple of Derrick Martin's stuff on you tube. You'll never go back. Use a hitch climber pulley though more options

Yeahh buddy. I had that happen to me with a crane job last summer. Half hitched around the tip after it was all slung up. Had the ground guys tie on another line and sent my rope with the piece. I can't find the picture though

    Petzl pantin

It has some sentimental value with this baby, it broke truthfully. Got it in a case, a little trophy for me. I thought about a spur acender, but rather have one that doesn't kick out if I got spikes on.

    Haas/Wraptor

For SRT ascent only not for work positioning. The Haas is meant for work throughout the tree not just limited to ascent your points in the beginning were solid but now this is silly. Also the system works great when you ascend against the trunk it's Similar to spiking up a tree. Buy a SRT set up...

Wraptors are for old guys who can't afford buckets, so who really knows new school here.

    Haas/Wraptor

We have giants out here that demand SRT that body thrusting back over a leader is for the birds. I have respect for old school and believe there is a time and a place for it, but no way can you say it's more efficient, if your system is dialed in less energy is used SRT than Ddrt. I like to...

    Haas/Wraptor

I've thought about that but my system is dialed in to just me. And the retrievable part usually only works in a perfect scenario, and I game plan a tree by splitting it 50 50 now. Work one side then drop on the other side

    Break Away Lanyard Question

Just put a piece of Velcro looped around. Old truck, works great with the hazard trees. I'd rather take a vicious swing than go down with the ship, and don't want to feel the violent rip of a break away lanyard.
