    Cable hardware question

New products to installers with some working and some not makes me wonder if the are correctly sized/ positioned/ tightened. I had trouble with having 5/16" cable and 3/8s WG. Took the correct size to grip. Not a easy to get to bite, all the same. The variable of tightness is a problem...

Am I going a little overboard with this?

Both anxious and maybe reasonable. That's an anxiety issue that could likely benefit from support. Best wishes! I know many people with anxiety disorders. It's real. It's manageable.

I'm growing the PHC side of my business. How can I better utilize my one-ton service truck?

Air spading has little competition. RCX and SGRs abound. I'm going to be getting one.

Just a related tool...Baby Bear pole chainsaw. I picked up the extension shaft the other day for a little reacher-zipper that's quick and light. I use the gta 26 for orchards and little work. https://www.stihlusa.com/en/ap/gta-26-extension-1027528 I have the Kombi chainsaw attachment and...

Do you ever have the occasional customer service experience like this?

By the hour with a half-day minimum is another option. 5, 6, 7 hours is fine for me. Virtually every job is close to the shop 5-10 minutes. The next job is often 5-10 minutes from the first. Ten percent of my jobs are 15 minutes or more of a drive.

    Be honest....

I say things aloud to myself the basic way I would with someone else, to a degree. I say what I want to get when I'm planning a trip to the truck. Ax, wedge pouch, rope puller When I am hitching up solo: 2" to the driver side, 4' back It's easy to get in the truck, look at things in...

Looking for quality, trainable, experienced staff or quality, experienced staff not needing training. Newer climbers would definitely not be sent up a tree like this, with or without a remote TIP. This seems to be the realm of experienced climbers that make $40+/ hr (aerial rescue and SRT/...

I have a brand new Protos that I may sell. I wore another Protos for a week. Didn't care for the muff fit with my big ears. Miriam wears it now and I've got her Petzl, for now.

    Salsco 6" Tracked Chipper - price drop - $23,000

I think it's a matter of paying the dealer or plumbing it yourself. The dealer will mark up your parts. That is the OEM.

    Olympia, WA, various needs.

Let me know if people want/ need a corporate-style job listing. Summer is coming. We work 90-95% of the time in a narrow peninsula, commonly near the water. Frequently, shaded by tall trees. Cooler than Olympia proper. 80s are Hot days here. Coolvests, for the win on hot days, a handful of...

Do you ever have the occasional customer service experience like this?

I wouldn't want to work by the hour for such people, either. Last week, my client asked me to walk with him to see some trees along the trail system we cleared. He said there are some madronas that he'd like to see more while hiking. I said it's no problem. I noticed a thick fir that could be...
