Salsco 6" Tracked Chipper - price drop - $23,000

Other than the disc spinning during transport they really nailed it with their design.

My hobby chipper is deliberately a single feed wheel, because the 6” Bandits I came up on always had lower feed wheel issues. And Salsco also has the wide infeed. I also recognized the autofeed update I am putting off on my BC600 happens to be what came stock on the 2020 Salsco that I have used in the past. They want $1000 for the autofeed retrofit…expensive hobby.

I guess I also cut 2” off the Salsco trailer’s dovetail after the crew left some road stripes in neighborhoods. But I loved the simplicity of locking it on the trailer with a pin.

Are you going thru vermeer for the AF+ or the manufacturer?

Thanks! I’m pretty sure that the Salsco used the tachometer you’ve linked—maybe it’s just the same technology.

Please share/PM if you have a bias either way. I haven’t established if I would use Vermeer dealers for anything, but somewhat wondered if they’d balk at aftermarket equipment.
