Isa website so bad it’s embarrassing

I just sent an email. Let’s see where that gets me, I’m registered for exam eligibility and am currently studying and taking practice exams. Which I also find frustrating that they tell you the wrong answers but don’t tell you the correct selection and also don’t let you save any of the...

    New device from ISC

Oh, sorry I was talking about on decent in srt. But also I can understand this with placing the device on rope. I can’t wait to get some hours on this device. Gearing up for my first season on my own, getting jobs lined up :)

    New device from ISC

You can just swivel the reflex around as you wind the rope over the device. I thought the same thing then actually sat in my saddle in the basement and tried it. Pretty straight forward

    Ban bamboo.

I’m be heard of bamboo varieties that aren’t so aggressive in expansion, Ive thought about containing them (bamboo) in a large drain tile or something similar cut hotdog way in half. Also second the Bradford pear sentiment. They crowd out other native species and the flowers smell like a 2$...

    Euro tracked chippers.

The simplicity of the machine itself is pretty amazing. A toggle switch from turtle to rabbit. No clutch to engage. Emergency stop button and electric forward and reverse paddles. A total of 5 grease fittings all right next to one another. Overall I’ve been very impressed with its capability...

    Euro tracked chippers.

Sure… this is all just my point of view and uninformed formally. But I don’t care for the design of the in feed mainly. In my limited experience with an older model (2013) there is an unnecessary gap/dead space between infeed and drum where lots of small chunks can get lodged in there. The new...

    Euro tracked chippers.

There is a pivot in the tongue as well as the brake system (spring loaded). One solution I have thought of is to make a drop on the tongue, or a rise however you want to think of it. But basically making the weight on the tongue below the actual hitch and ball mount. That way it can stay...

    Euro tracked chippers.

Honestly the salesman was selling it as a “homeowner” model. But I think I knew more about the machine than he did. He wanted to get me on a 12” Morbark gasser. No friggin way. This unit has no actual Morbark components. The one thing I wish it had was a lunette ring and pintle setup. Every...

    Euro tracked chippers.

Mick is correct but basically in the states it’s a 4cyl. Gasser kubota. Morbark tw280phb

It’s not on tracks but I’ve been very impressed with what this chipper can do.

    Saw lanyard review

Been using Damien Elsasser’s (rakersonfleek.com) lanyard for climb saws. And a recoil for the bigger saw. I like keeping the lanyard with the climber and just clip onto saddle and off. I had one that looked like a phone cord. They have since stopped making them intended for power saws. And now...

Sudden Idling Issues After Cold Weather

Agreed with above. Fuel tank vent would be another spot to check?

    Songs of Perfection

For the gray gloom that hovers over Rochester in the winter salsa music is my go to. Here is Tito Puente playing Ran Kan Kan. I remember playing conga with our Latin ensemble with members of Tito’s band (now Spanish Harlem Orchestra) Johnny Rodriguez, and Mitch Froman. Their energy was wild to...

It would be sweet if they had hour tachs on saws

    Favourite SRS rope?

Yale 11.7 wins all the work climbs in the past four years. Bifrost edition. I mainly run my bdb with that. Recently bought blue 32. And been running a hitch setup on it with oceans poly. And that is like butter. Haven’t touched the bifrost except for small removals.
