Anybody use Castellari Pole Saw

Looking for parts to keep 2 Silky Hayate saws that have been workhorses. The simple button that locks in place came out. Apparently not in stock. While looking I came across this at @arbsession - curious if anybody can compare to the Silkys (or Notch)?

I also have another Hayate that has the butt end "shortened". Unfortunate accident but now it fits behind the seat in the truck so maybe worked out OK. I'm also wondering if maybe I take parts from that and replace it with a shorter Castellari. The price is right for sure on the shorter poles...

I like my Castellari poles. I have a Carbon pole that I am hoping to get a replacement bottom pole for- cracked the same way my buddies notch carbon pole did. They sold me an aluminum one for super cheap, and I have nothing bad to say about it. I love the way their adjustment system works- it's like the latches you see on ez adjusting bike seat posts and quick release wheels. I love being able to adjust it to literally any length between min and max, an issue I have with all the other good ones.

Yoo so the aluminum round fits the carbon? I bought a super shorty for ornamental stuff and it’s great but I want a longer section.

that never occurred to me, but I bet it fucking does!! the heads are interchangeable, and the poles look like they are the exact same diameters. I will see if I can test it out this weekend

You know that plastic sleeve at the end is the same inner diameter as a normal Jameson pole coupler.

Never heard of the Castellari but wow that is cheap for the ~21footer, $210?!

I just bent a section of my Hayate the other day pulling out a big hanger and it landed on the pole on the way down. Wanting a replacement ASAP I actually drove to the Wesspur store and bought the Notch Nobasu for about $500. It looks and feels nice, generally equal to the Silky if I'm being honest. Of course the parts aren't backwards compatible, I asked, but going forward if the Notch one proves itself, parts for it should be easier to get long term. That said, I will be getting a new pole for the Silky and get it back in action.
