X-rigging rings

Getting ready to top it out.

All that I can say is the XRR Slings worked great and I plan on buying more to add to my rigging equipment. They really are a great system when used accordingly and add both safety and efficiency to any rigging project.

Thanks again David!

Hey Chris are you ever inclined to leave some branches on your way up to help stabilize the tree prior to topping. If there is room rigging wise I incorporate this technique quite often and truly believe it dampens the big swing once top is let go.Just curious.

If you cut through the hinges of the box cut, once you know where the top is going, it will save you a lot of rodeo-ing.

Hi ArborCut, I never leave branches on my way up, as they are a PITA to have to rig and lower around. I also don’t worry about trying to dampen any big swing from a top, because I never bother to try and take big tops anymore. Why bother? Just climb a little higher, add more rope into your system and take a small top. Then you don’t have as many worries.

I finally got my X Rigging Ring today. I waited and waited, checked everyday and sure enough, theXman came through. By far my best X-mas present. Thanks for the gloves, and the poster is perfect... it's even signed!

THANK YOU... your biggest fan biXler

due to heat questions, we did some testing on film.

shows a log, being lowered from the triple rings really fast.

we got fast enough to smoke and glaze the rope on the porta wrap, but the triple rings didn't get hot like the portie.

we had a thermal thermometer on site too.

highest temp on the rings was 104 I think.

had a camera next to the rings and another camera on the porta wrap.

I'll edit and put the two cameras side by side in a split screen if I can figure out how to do that in my editing program. I'm sure it can do it, it can do anything, I just have to learn how.

Really impressive testing.

OMG!!! OMG!! the Xman is coming to Michigan???

Just noticed you're listed in the ArborCon brochure under the Live Demo Tree " David Driver - Rigging Rings"

Are you going to have a booth and some x rings for sale??

I will be there for two days, Feb 19th and 20th.

To give a demo, educate and answer questions about the XRR slings.

Bartlett Manufacturing will have a booth and they will be for sale from them at the show; I just hope they purchased enough; I honestly think they will run out quickly, so be early!

Bartlett is the first supply company to contact us and order XRR slings, so I want to help spread the word for them.

Pssst, another supplier will have them in their hands soon as well.
A favorite at TreeBuzz.

Whiz, did you notice you are on the front page of TCIA Reporter News (that just came out in the mail)? You were about to talk to me at the Baltimore Expo in a crowd.
