X-rigging rings

Thank you for taking your time to edit and post that, plenty of people appreciate it, despite no responses, believe me.

I never would have predicted the XRR thread having pictures of beautiful women imbedded in it.

Oh well, carry on.

Thanks, treebing. I may be interested in seeing if I can get a custom length made by Jason (am frequently on big stems). I agree it is a work of art. Used the triple over a bunch of shrubbery today and tomorrow am going to instal XRR’s from the ground, put lines on branch ends from the ground and lift them up off a tile roof.

There have already been some good ideas posted into this thread for “alternate” or “secondary” configurations for the Beast Whoopie.

Here’s another …

This gets you into a double ended basket when you don’t have the Locking Prusik with you. I’m not wild about it because it’s not as strong. But it is faster to change over, if you know you’re doing lighter stuff.

Here's another:

This gets the strength back.

It takes advantage of the super-deep groove in the Beast. Even with the TVP underneath, the Tenex seats as deeply as it does in the 28/20 ring. Somehow, it still seems to be prudent because even if the ring would come out somehow, it would still be held by the gripping power of the TVP prusik.

The beat goes on. I gotta get a life.

I understand these are redirects or to use 3 as a single rigging point. But I was just wondering what weights were the ropes breaking at when you tested single ring rigging? I understand don't do it just wondering your results?

I wanted to clean up an inaccessible (for equipment) shoreline area and I needed a special rigging solution. I grabbed my new XRR Beast Whoopie and reconfigured it to give one (1) travelling re-direct and one (1) choking re-direct.

XRR Travelling Re-direct

The rings continue to amaze me with their versatility.
