WTB Bandit 75XP or a 65XP

Got my official Bandit fan package in the mail today.
Got hooked up with a free large sticker. :D

Just in time for tomorrow when my chipper goes on it's first big job.
Have an ass ton of brush to chip.
Going to be another scorcher in the 90s.
Hope heat ain't an issue.

Oh man.... where can I find those? Just purchased a 15xp and would love those key chains

Think I’ll have to work at keeping it nice looking when the roads are salty. Maybe some undercoating before the snow hits and a bath periodically.
Thinking I want a little trailer tongue toolbox or maybe a little toolbox on the fender to get the battery out of the weather a little. If I do a toolbox on the fender I’ll put a small vise on it for field sharpening, just in case.
I didn’t know Kubota made gas engines, thought they were just diesels. It was a factory option though.
9”x12” infeed, and autofeed works well.
I’m happy.

fucken rad man... How much was it? 9X12 is a great size for a little 6" machine. I'd try to keep the tongue clear, some times jack knifing is essential!

What a bizarre place for the battery to be placed.
I would get a new battery box with a lid and mount it next to the right side fender.
It looks like a perfect spot for it.
Where your battery is, I mounted a two wheel trailer jack to help move it around by hand.

I would love to get one of those nice aluminum diamond plate tool boxes that come on the larger chippers to mount on the fender.
Would be great to be able to store a grease gun and some tools.

You can get Bandit touch-up paint in spray cans in the stock colors.
I bought a few that I've yet to use but they were $18 a can.
I like the orange paint job, wanted an orange but ended up with a yellow one.

Replacement parts from Bandit are ridiculously way over priced.
I love my Bandit chipper but they rape you on replacement parts but I'm sure they all do that.

I do wonder how that Kubota stacks up to the Kohler 38hp?

Was a little more than I thought I’d spend on a used 6”. I went to check it out with the intention of trying to get the price knocked down a bit, until I realized I knew who’s chipper it was, a friendly acquaintance who’s terminally ill and probably doesn’t have much time left. I was happy to pay their asking price of 8k, I know the guy payed over 12 for it 4 years ago and didn’t put many miles on it. He also kept it in the shop/ garage and I know he was meticulous about maintenance and not beating on his stuff.

Probably not happening this year, but I’d like to paint the dump cab, the chipper and the pickup all John Deere green. If I can find a heated shop space to do it, maybe sooner.
I’m pretty sure a lot of the factory paint we see on chippers and some other equipment is trademarked colors, and this chipper is Kubota orange. Others like John Deere green, Caterpillar yellow, I think International has their own red, probably others. I did a little reading and it looks like the rattle cans of farm & implement paint is very durable stuff and easy to apply without drips if the weather is fair and the surface is given at least a halfass prep and cleaning.
Not trying to win a show anyways, but I think my trucks will look good, I’ve always liked that JD green.

8K is a great price on a 2012 65xp chipper in that condition.
My 2013 cost me a bit more but it only has just over 200 hrs on it.
You did real good. (y)

Around here you can't find anything above a beater used rental 6" for under $6K and that is with 2500-3K hours. I'd consider it a epic score and a win win.

No kidding. When I was looking for a 12" chipper it seemed like everything was either down in California for $20-25k+ or in the midwest, with new paint to hide all the rust. I swear I didn't see a single decent priced used chipper in the whole PNW. I ended up going all the way to Montana where I wound up buying a 2008 BC1000, just under 1,000 hours, for $15k. It has served me very well, but I'm still dreaming of a 12" Bandit with a winch...
