Tulip tree MURDER!

You talk big Daniel, but don't think you have the brains or skill to make that as smooth as Ben. Maybe if you stopped yapping like a little school girl at people who do things you can't, and actually tried to learn from them, you'd get somewhere in the world. But alas, you won't and never will I'm sure. Maybe one day that over inflated head of yours will finally burst from all the bs you feed yourself and the world will be a bit happier because of it.

I'd love to see Daniel or TV up in a tree lookin half as good as Ben does in this vid!

Shocked, but pleased nonetheless.

I don't post "man cuts branch.. branch gets lowered to ground" becasue its boring... anyone that's impressed by the "smoothness" of that rigging is a babe in the woods... nothing there was anything special.. and he made plenty of mistakes... one handing the saw while pushing wood over with the other is needlessly dangerous 99% of the time.. just ask the guy in Tennessee that cut his arm off! He needlessly wiped a fence out and you think he has something to teach... You and anyone else that was impressed by that are clueless!

"I don't post "man cuts branch.. branch gets lowered to ground" becasue its boring."

Isn't that a big part of our job?

Reg posts vids of himself one handing, as do I, and others Daniel.

The difference being we don't claim to be teachers like yourself, see?

Just climbers who post their work product.

Post up your stuff Daniel, next time you get off the ground and feel up to snuff......teacher?

I one hand too... but not like that.. or at least not as a regular practice... Its unnecessary and unsafe... Learn how to cut a proper notch and back cut... how many times has that been said... make the cut, set the saw and push with both hands.. Or cut the notch deep enough that it goes without pushing. these are fundamental cutting techniques.. IF YOU CUT WELL, YOU DON'T NEED TO ONE HAND LIKE THAT..."like that" means in plane with your torso, and/or arm, often only inches away, where even a slight kick back can be fatal!

With all the safety police here at TB, preaching about the dangers of one handing.. how does THAT TYPE of one handing get a pass from everyone except me... hypocrisy and BS

He wiped out a fence and can't tell the difference between included bark and lightning.. All the name dropping don't change that from what it is... stupidity!

Jomoco, for one I wouldn't go as far as to bring up Reg as a sort of justification of why something is or isn't okay (but yeah I get what your saying). Furthermore even thinking of your vids of being in the same league as RC. Now, now, I'm just speaking as a mistake prone rookie over the age of 18 (your words), but your videos are even worse than your attitude, at least most of the time. All in all your growing on me like that massive wart on my a$$ and I guess I'd rather you be buzzing than not. But really more than anything, I wish you maybe cut down on the buzz time and spend more time developing a cambium saver that lasted for more than a couple months F man! I mean really, you must be making bank off that thing... royalty checks?

Daniel, what did it? Why ya so pissed off? Point me in the direction of where Ben disrespected you and your vids.

In hindsight, I am with ya Jomoco, It is just climbers posting their work. Big f'in deal, if one wants to one hand a saw and cut their arm let them, after all it is their arm. I'm sick of watching re-run tree work vids, I've seen them all countless times, I like the new material, the good, bad, and ugly.

I don't support demonizing ones work for any reason really, it's rude, and pointless. But now I'm realizing it's more about how one reacts to those who demonize their work, that's what sets good and bad people apart.

Not that it matters, but for me, I'll be posting plenty man cuts branch, branch falls to ground, or simple up and down rigging or what have you, and hell maybe every now and then I'll post a vid worth watching... and if you don't like them go blank yourself.

Hey it was nice to come home from work and see all this nice dialogue. Some ego's floating around as usual, how quaint and funny all at once. Good job Ben, I personally have never worked on a lightning struck tree ( that don't happen down here ), but the ratchet idea is a good one. I loved the music and didn't find the video boring at all, what we do in tree work is fairly repetitive at times so what gives. Keep posting, the peanut gallery always has a full audience. Most dudes have given a thumbs up to the video and are very supportive, and I am sure that whatever little mistakes were made we all did them too at sometime or the other. I have done the one hand push off piece many a time not saying it's right but me I can own my stuff, I ain't the best by far and have nothing to prove but I love my job and get better every tree I do. That is what this job is about, to be continually learning.

Cheers Swing, yes, its just a job, someone has to do it. I don't want to come across like i'm trying to teach anyone anything, I'm just doing what I get paid for, and enjoy on the most part. My ego isn't a huge one, I just take everything in my stride, and if i'm unsure on anything, I will go to my peers and ask their advice. For this particular job, I thought it would be a fun vid to make, and 99.9% of the feedback has been absolutely very positive. I just think that maybe in the past I must have upset someone somehow. Lord knows why, for the internet is such a dramarama arena! Life will and does go on, I sure ain't crying about anything.

Keep it real :)

I just skipped through the Daniel efficiency video, I saw some pretty dangerous stuff going on, Patrick Epps one handing and pushing with the other while cutting mid torso. Kettle pot black? Come on, lets not open up a huge can of worms, lets just play nice and get on with our little lives in peace and harmony. Its only cutting trees.

Nice response Ben, tells me you are a stand up dude. One of the good guys, and you are so right the internet has a lot of drama, I just take what I need and leave the rest. Keep posting dude I for one liked it and most are in agreement.
