Trump allowed a gun sale Obama wouldn't

Imagine a world, a USA, sans government... think we'd be in our warm homes typing away on the internet? More likely we'd be involved in modern day feudal warfare, trying to lay siege on the nieghborhood walmart gang, fighting over the last bit of petrol and cargo. :risas2:

I never said Government wasn’t a Necessity: I said I don’t trust.

Government is Absolutely Necessary.

The problem is that Our Government has been Corrupted, as have all others before it.

Oxycontin, A-R15, a dozen 100-round clips, a bible and white supremacy goes for a walk. Guess to where?
Yeah. The terror watch list. It needs expansion to include Fox News and Glen Beck followers. Rush and Hannity notwithstanding. All no service defending America, all D-1 deferments from war.
Now a new, and worse generation of mindless, hateful followers.
After war, we fought to change the system that allowed it. My whole life has been a fight. From firefights to counterinsurgencies to poisoning farm water supplies, I did it anyway. My country 'tis to thee.
Now there is a whole generation of idiots who never drank blood shoving internet myths down everyone's throats. Just like, but more so, the lies that set my draft lottery to A-1, killing 6 million by the time it ended. Not even taught anymore at public schools, impossible at Christian schools.
Fear of chaos I understand. Fear of the unknown I might understand as well but..I wish you'd feel my nightmares so that you'd never fall victim to ignorance, like millions before have and now it's time to end it. Enough.
Listen to the kids, the victims. Not the NRA or you know who.

I'm missing my admission of a difference here, a difference in what?

The Difference between having Control of a Firearm & the term Gun Control.

I’ve never had Instructors refer to having Control of a Firearm as “Gun Control.”

In this modern time, the Term Gun Control has a Negative Implication, & rightly so based on History.

Hmm, I wonder how many PHDs it took to get us on this digital interface? Would like prefer the 400 people out of the Boston phone book perform brain surgery on you or a loved one? Yeah, not impressed.
I said "governed by". Not "have brain surgery performed on me by..."

If there's one thing I know for certain, it's that some really, really stupid people are too often elected to govern us already.

My favorite example:

My God. This is a United States Representative. This man thinks islands float. Not a joke.

Please share pictures of “100 round clips.”

I don’t subscribe to the White Supremacy thing you tend to keep just under the surface.

All your other ramblings are an ill-hidden attempt to belittle or begrudge whomever doesn’t agree with you.

Extremist Much?

I suppose you are already on that list you keep speaking of so Lustfully.

Context matters, your arguments are definitely lacking in it.

Like it or not abortions are considered medical procedures, car related deaths are almost all accidents and drug overdoses are somewhere between suicide and accident. There is no meaningful comparison to be drawn from among these random statistics you provide, with corresponding links, because they are not contextualized.

The disarmament before genocide argument is flawed in part because it lacks context but also because it shows you have little understanding of the conditions in those countries during those events. If you think that the gun owners in America could resist in any meaningful way determined government intervention then that's really cute. You are only allowed to keep them because they are not a threat to the powers that be.

Research is a heady term that is used to loosely, it involves seeking empirical evidence from multiple sources in an effort the reach a most likely conclusion. Before giving it be sure you are following your own advice to do the research and not just making a Frankensteinian monster of various statistics and opinion pieces.

I have some tour photos I've kept for years. Old polaroids. From 6 countries. Debriefing usually confiscated them but I was a debriefer! Would you young rightwinging pro no gun laws like to see them? You like heroes. I was a "hero" by your's and currently, America's standards. Rewarded!
Children in shreds. Grandparents without arms, legs, even heads. The stink alone wakes me up sweating, 40 years and less later. Guns? We had it all, even poisons and tactical field nukes. Hell, we got poisoned too. By the United States and then the lies started pouring in.
To kill is easy. To believe to have to kill is easier. To think is the hardest of all but obligation to think is a survival necessity and weak-minded fear-influenced semi-auto long gun owners scare me more than any "enemy" I was trained to kill. Efficiently. I was rewarded. The dead were the heroes as were the street protests that eventually brought us home. Wounded for life.

Both of you assume folks like me don’t or didn’t listen to our elders who walked in the same, or heavier shoes as yourselves.

I don’t claim to have done the time either of you have, but I respect my elders enough to take heed to their warnings.

You can toy with others’ emotions & generate an internet squabble all you want on this tree care forum. I’m not the least bit offended or worried about either of you.

Both of you come off as Pompous Asses, & can’t seem to have an open discussion without trying to tear someone down if they disagree with your agenda: no matter their own experiences.

Have A Great Day.

Young white nazi boys. Hate filled enough to run over people, open fire on, and re-tweet absolute bullshit. Fear.
They know nothing about reality.
I fight myself not to react and show them some. And now they have the internet. Much of what they seek is an actual attempt at destroying America. Tactical attempt, and they suck it up like the chimp snorting coke to get his meals.
That's a dangerous road to drive, I've driven it.

Many Americans are now basically involved in a form of violent self destruction. It's very similar to the idea of "black on black crime". Instead of focusing our frustration and rage on the people that are working to keep us oppressed we are instead using it to do their work for them.

"Pompous asses" that have forged this nation so that you can whine about semi-autos and brown people.

It makes me sick. But I use my nausea to teach others just so they don't dream my nightmares. Your's I think, you'll have to experience in real time before your mind changes. Pity. I try.

Hey it's definitely not personal man. I just pointed out what I thought were some flaws in your approach. I'm not sweating you either bud. I think most people would agree that my tone was pretty civil and you failed to address my argument on it's merits. Instead you called me a name!:sorprendido3:

Sorry Rocket, that was for the rightie whities. I like your post.

Tomorrow, maybe we all land with both boots on and dialogue this out...the problems demand it. Or not..choices.

I'm completely baffled by the liberal thought that more laws will prevent this. Only pure evil does this. Not a law on earth will prevent such evil. I've been to every major city in the US during my 25 yrs. on the road. The murder rates are highest in the cities with the strictest laws. You people believe the government can fix this. Reality check! Washington DC is one of the absolute worst! They can't even clean up our nation's capital. One more thought to the OP. You say you're Navajo. I mean no disrespect to your ancestors or your heritage. You know exactly what happens when the government imposes laws "for the good of it's citizens." This isn't a gun issue. This is breakdown of society and our legal system allows it. These pieces of trash should be hung immediately. No trial or sitting in jail for 50 yrs. sucking the system dry.

I don't know anything about "folks like you" or what kind of folks you even is. I have to say the same about your elders as well but I do have to wonder: Should we suspend our thought processes, dispel our doubts and defer to our elders? I think they own a place at the table but our world is changing faster than ever and I'm not sure they have the answers we need.

I agree it is a societal issue but can't it be both? Imagine our society as a crazy person who has done harm to himself and others with a gun. What would be your first step in trying to help this person out and stop further harm?

This flat denial that it is not a gun issue is absurd. However I agree that a fixation on the issue of gun ownership doesn't help us address the other issues.

Like a broken record, Oak, you are the only guy here talking about nazis or "brown people". No idea why. Total non-sequitur.

I agree.
For "hsell" I have an addendum:

Those villages we trapped thru, mowed-down the civilians? We didn't use A-R's..we used AK's because we had to blame the killings on the enemy. That's propaganda. That's what your rightwing sites use. That's what the Russian's do and certainly America responds in kind.
That's a truth of war. Your sowing the seeds of paranoia result it it. Always.
