Virtue signaling. The new hotness. Delta probably should have done a cost/benefit analysis. Creating a minor annoyance for 13(!) customers just cost them $50 freaking million. They'll never admit it, but .......oops.

I think the republican politicians in Georgia better be real careful.. Delta could just take their biz elsewhere?
  • Delta contributes $300 million annually to Georgia state and local governments through taxes and fees.
  • The company paid its Georgia employees $500 million in profit sharing in 2017, resulting in $30 millionin income tax withholdings.
  • Delta pays more than $200 million a year in operating expenses to Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, supporting airport police, fire, security and other functions.
  • Direct flights out of Atlanta have supported nearly $11 billion in foreign investment in Georgia since 2011 and the creation of more than 42,000 jobs in Georgia.

My personal favorites are the bars at VFW, DAV, and AMVETS. I enjoy lifetime membership at any of them. Friends and associates. Dependents on the VA, where trump's appointed chairman spent 3 weeks touring the spa's in Europe on our dime and time with his 3rd wife. God only knows how his first 2 faired. We'll find out. Add this to the numbers in my last post and you get an idea of the impact Delta has on Georgia's economy.

Unfortunately they cant leave, Atlanta is a monstrous hub and no airline is going to not use it.
