TreeStuff.com

treestuff's BlackFriday through CyberMonday Sale ends tomorrow. 14% off with the coupon code THANKS. Most items apply with a few exceptions.
And Yale Arrowfrog 11.7mm on sale too - 85¢/ft.

So the 200' of arrowfrog and ct foot ascender I just bought was $200.38. :envidioso
I read about the mix up with the right and left that stinks ,but the way I'm seeing its almost like you got that foot ascender for free . That arrowfrogs usually 99 cent a foot . Good stuff!

I started getting new gear when I decided to remove 3 trees from a property I own so that the fire department could burn the house down for practice. An ancient, barely alive ash tree with the worst case of fungus you ever saw, and two elm trees on their last legs (DED)... I called the Bucket Truck Bozo Tree Service and they wanted more than the property was worth to remove them (leaving the stumps) so I decided I'd do it myself in spite of not being in a tree for almost ten years. Couldn't find the tree spurs so had to use the pole gaffs. Earlier this year I bought new tree climbers, but didn't like the pads (Climb Right) and got no love when I called them about it. I won't mention their name, but their initials are WESSPUR. I had to call Spyder Mfg. and those nice folks replaced the pads with something I like, at no cost, and even sent me a prepaid shipping label so I didn't have to pay to ship the original ones back. Gotta love that. So, now I get 90% of the stuff from TreeStuff.com and you guys are totally right... the customer service, prices and fast shipping are unbeatable. I still go elsewhere when I'm looking for something they don't have, or somebody has a great discount deal going on, but that's not a big chunk of my purchases, anymore. TreeStuff seems to have the goods and the prices, and customer service really is the BIG one, to me.

I find it pathetic that the manufacturer was more than happy to do something that the folks I bought the item from wouldn't do. Usually, it's the other way around. So five stars to Spyder Mfg. (Climb Right) and zero stars to you know who. Another five stars to TreeStuff.com for making a believer out of me, again. I'm pretty damn sure I would not have had to contact the manufacturer to get satisfaction if I'd gone to TreeStuff in the first place.

I just shipped some Christmas gifts to my daughters today for the grandkids and S-I-L and daughter. Spent over $50 for FedEx ground. Makes you really appreciate the free shipping for over $100 orders. I realize they probably get a deal for being a volume shipper, but even so... :bananahappy:

And...if it's under $100 there's the FREESHIP code! :numberone: They are the BEST.

Being located in NE Ohio, not only is it free shipping, but I always get my stuff next day if I order before noon (unless there is custom splicing involved).

And to think I pay Amazon $80/year for two day shipping ... which now seems slow compared to treestuff ... (y)

As much as I love TreeStuff, I'm going to start putting "No Substitutions" in the comment section when ordering. Lately it seems like I'm getting a 'close' substitution in every order (or else they are making a lot of mistakes).

There's still no place I'd rather buy from....good people.

I've had a few of those myself, but I will say the substitutions are always of the more expensive/better quality variety. I still understand being frustrated not receiving exactly what you ordered, but in the long run I'll take something I would have normally paid more for that does the same job as what I originally ordered.

I emailed TS early this morning about an old sticker they used to send out with orders that I wanted more of and Luke responded within a couple of hours with a very detailed reply. To a question about a sticker! Their customer service isn't just the best in the tree products industry, it's probably one of the best of ANY company in ANY industry anywhwere.

My experience with Treestuff has been the same. They keep giving, and we keep giving back willingly. Everyone seems satisfied. This is a good glimpse at how unity works within business. When everyone gains

We do 'substitute' sometimes, but its always an item of what we believe to be higher quality/value. That being said, if you ever get a 'substitution' and are displeased, PLEASE let us know and we will make it right. We really think of every order as critical for our customers to make money, necessary equipment. This motivates us strongly to ship as FAST as possible.

You guys are the best around, bar none!

BRT, one thing i can add; there's nothing wrong with Sherrill. In fact, because I'm in SC I get my packages faster (in one day) from Sherrill when ordering UPS Ground. Probably the same for you being in VA...Sherrill is in Greensboro, NC. It usually takes a few days from TreeStuff to get my...well...tree stuff. But TreeStuff's customer service is just so dang good. Top notch!
So, I placed my first order with Treestuff Friday. Like John Kays stated much earlier in the thread, it is a 5% discount for entering coupon code "arborist." Somewhere along the line, I thought it was 10%--nope--that's for the ISA ca.

It was an $850 order of bracing/cabling hardware, but I'm still gonna pay $60 in shipping.

I placed the order Friday--it is supposed to arrive Tuesday. After talking to Lindsay on the phone this morning, she unsympathetically (at least that was my impression) informed me that because I ordered on Friday--they don't work on the weekends. And FedEx doesn't deliver residential on Monday, so, even though I fall in their 2 day shipping region, Tuesday meets their standard. Probably should have thought more about what TL said above.

Lackluster at best.

I'm sorry BRT, sorry to hear all the evil stars lined up to make your order a headache. It's too bad Luke can't be in ten places at once, 'cause that would be awesome! Yeah, the phone help is less than what it used to be, but you can always ask to speak to Luke or Nick if you need further help.

I believe, to get the 10% off, you need to be an ISA Member. You don't necessarily need to be certified. They have started offering a 7% off for online orders only...the code is: ONLINE.

I heart TreeStuff! Do you feel like you didn't get a good deal? Could you get better service elsewhere? Better value?

The shipping is hard on those heavy items, but I think...I can't remember for sure...but I think you can use the code FREESHIP instead of the other discount codes to chip off some of that expense. But it is expensive for them to ship that heavy stuff.

I encourage you to make a few more orders with Treestuff before you make a final verdict.

I understand how hard it is not to recieve your suplies when you expect them, but I hope the inconvenience doesn't ruin your life.:)

Sorry you had a rough go of it BRT. I wasn't saying anything except they had great customer service, and that if I was in a super hurry, and needed stuff really, really, fast (which is usually my fault for waiting so long :)) then I use Sherrill because they're closest to me. But I always use treestuff because they've got the best prices, best supplies, and best customer svc.

I got back to my computer and looked it up again..."Another coupon code we offer is FREESHIP. This code will give you free shipping even if your order is below $100. This code is valid only when shipping to the continental United States (excludes AK and HI). Oversized and heavy restrictions still apply. The FREESHIP code is valid on orders placed through the website only. Orders will be sent USPS."

Even so, you probably got close to that discount with the 5% off. And you have to remember their starting price is a great deal. Love them! But I am really sorry to hear about your experience.

Not your fault guys

Thanks guys! Not your fault. Happy that you've had good service from them.

Today I got my order. There was a mix-up on my part, and their's.

I ordered common grade cable--which can't be used with the rig guy cable stops. Gotta have EHS. Duh! :tonto:

They sent me a 48" bit instead of the 60" I ordered.

After a phone call, I believe we've got it sorted out. Spoke with Lindsay, she was very polite and helpful. They are going to handle the shipping swap. :)

So, I will probably take John Kays' advice and place a few more orders before "making my final verdict."
