Post a d*nm picture already! Someone. Please!

And X, I not only have an X in my name. I have an X chromosome. 2 of 'em actually. Hah!

Time to get back to our usual scholarly tone now.

Yes mistress, I will do as you command, as long as you owe me… Yes, I can tell you have two XX's. Glad to see Female in the new female climbers on the buzz lately. I swear, past "female" climbers had both x and y.

What is this? (see attachement) Exactly?

$25 check to the winner. No clues, three days only.
(my big entrance back into TFAD; it's been like 3 to 4 months I think).

(ask Tom, I pay up, except for when he tells me to stop giving him money)

Darn. Too late. It occurred to me (actually in the wee hours of the morn) what this was in general and I got up early to check the botanical name only to find tree guru Guy has beaten me to it.

And I was all ready to request a sweet smooch rather than take X's money for figuring out mistletoe. Oh well...

mistletoe

Good job you two.

I have never seen it in Maryland before, never. On a property that I work on, there is one acer rubrum out in a field that has a ball of it on one branch. They said it's been there for over 20 years.

I climbed up next to it, pretty cool. branch swelled right there and the mistletoe grew right out of it.

I broke off a few twigs from it.

Took it home to find a good host.

Drilled some holes in the host plant and inserted. I never looked up the lifecycle yet or how mistletoe gets started, not sure if it's possible that this thing can take hold doing it this way.

If it does take hold and ever seem to get out of hand, I will erradicate it.

yes, you were supposed to guess the host also, plus tell me that I drilled it.

you can get the host right I'm sure. I picked a host similar to what this plant was already on... but this host "deserves" a parasite since this host is an invasive specie.

you can tell me the host.

meanwhile I'm also going again because I've been gone so long.

what is this?

sorry Frax, cryptomeria can't live up your way, you are too cold.

Diane a bit more hot.

-----------------------

Diane, did the smell of money bring you out? or have you been playing TFAD?

No, no need for $$ - just cruising by ....

I checked into TFAD with the mistletoe post, but decided not to respond and leave that between you and Frax

I don't get out of the 'woodwork' and onto the Buzz much anymore - so sad.
Really miss you all!

Sorry I've got no pic to offer you hungry IDers.

Maybe post another photo Xman and let the $ offer still stand.

Stay safe, everyone.

really nice to have you pop in.

$ was on the mistletoe only and Guy passed it up.

maybe cause he stood me up once.
