Treehumper down and getting back up.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. Do I switch to a left foot pantin? Doing stability exercises I'm finding going over to the right of center causes the most pain.

What r u saying I'll have to ascend by humping again? I can't even imagine the world of hurt if I try foot locking. Damn….

Here we are at 6 1/2 mths since the fall and I'm fully healed with no sign of arthritis according to the bone doc. Time to up the PT to work conditioning and work hardening. The difference is work conditioning is less intense and geared toward building the strength and stability needed within the limits that a rehab clinic has. I've been working on soft surfaces, with weights, therabans, exercise machines, etc…. Work hardening will be based on my specific job description and a more simulated environment.

Hopefully the doctor will provide the right documents, with the right wording so the insurer can approve it. Funny that. The people you deal with at the insurance co. tell you that their hands are tied if the doc doesn't word things correctly no matter how much they may understand what the situation is.

Treehumper, I don't know how you've stayed same through this ordeal. I tweaked my back Monday and 3 days later I'm about to go crazy just sitting around. I'm not sure I could deal with a real injury. Props to you for staying positive and working hard to get back to tree work!

I think the harder part is getting to and from a tree! Walked 5 or 6 blocks to meet up with Adkpk and man it was killing me! Luckily they had beer there....
Same for me with my finger, still can't get it to bend when and where I want it to. grip is still only at 50%. Thank god for handled ascenders.

Yeah, the lost of full function of your finger is a bitch. Not just gripping but dexterity is effected. How do you find the cold? Does it seem that finger isn't as warm as the others?

Surprisingly the cold doesn't affect it like I thought it would. It does seem to be very slooowly coming back though. If I could get to 90% or so I might be happy. Good luck Monday.
