What had previously failed and filled up the yard had already been removed by a landscape company several months ago. Now she wanted the rest taken out down to the fence height. We forwarded all the trunk material to the trailer and rolled to the yard to pick it off when the log truck then went back to the site for the crane.

Did 2 of the 3 leaders on this oak got to the top of the third and backed out, the trees on this property were pretty messed up the uphill side of the third was very scared I think gaffing in its past plus sun damage and fungus are likely I got to the top of it and decided to back out of it since it was 5-6 in diameter all damaged on the up side, and I would've had to climb up a bit more and negative rig a 4"+ branch that was 15 ft long off.

I have been feeling like my leg/ankle rehab has stalled so I have begun a morning routine of spurring up a 55-60 ft spar for three rounds followed by three rounds of rope walking...About 10 days in and I am already feeling an increase in R.O.M and strength..

I don't normally take photos of my work, mainly because it usually is storming, raining, or night when I am working, but today was not normal. Once again I had to do a U.S. Forest Service job that they refused to do. A storm damaged tree from this last winter has been hanging precariously over a township road for the last four months. A 65' aspen that was ripped apart pretty well but remained upright with a lot of weight hanging over the road. The tree belongs to the U.S. Forest Service, and repeated calls to them to please take it down before it falls on a vehicle once again fell on deaf ears. They refused to drop it. I was contacted by the township to take it down. Measured 26" dia at the base. A lot of weight to one side with this fellow, and I was amazed it was still standing.

Not a very exciting job, but one I could do during the day when it wasn't pouring rain and actually take a photo.
Dropped it back into the woods so I didn't have to clear it off the road.
Edit: The stupid thing I did do was to shoot a 12 oz throw bag into my truck's windshield. Picked up the throw ball canon by the wrong handle... Oops! Oh yeah, it did a number on it.

Built that throw ball canon myself. Thought, why do they put some stupid sort of safeties on these things? I don't need that cluttering it up.
Of course, I don't think I will make the same mistake twice, but maybe I will build a safety for it just in case someone else uses it down the line.

Dead multistemmed Siberian Elm (I believe) loaded with Virginia Creeper, tops and lean over the house. Pretty noodly and loose bark but solid wood without much rot. Strapped the bad Union at the bottom. Was glad to have a TIP and rigging in the neighboring spruce. Only had to rig the tops, pull them back with a 5:1, and chunk the rest.
