I wish I could but mine has been machined and tested I would not feel comfortable as you would not get the positive results and the best possible feel you could.

Carefully! I credit my degree in motion physics(insert tongue into cheek) for not only my rigging expertise, but also my climbing. Really looking forward to the introduction of Akimbo to the market. I had tried the BDB and it just would not work with my weight.
 
If I get much above 190# usually durring the winter my legs and back start complaining about carrying my fatass around .... kudos to yous guys

You have to move around with smarts. Also utilizing multiple tie in points is not always a bad deal. The use of poles in the tree are also not unheard of either. Long and the short it makes you really appreciative when a new devices comes out that allows you to use your legs more.
 
@JMerritt it might be a cool idea when the production run comes out to have a few loaners. Perhaps charge a deposit so people can try before they buy.. Half of the gear I own I bought from pictures and descriptions alone, I made a number of mistakes on miss conseptions. I also always hesitate to purchase higher priced tools for this reason...

The treestuff party I just attended had lots of cool gear to try out. I see no reason why an akimbo or two couldn't be in the bag. If not that then I'm sure a few loaners could be made available.
 
Every day is closer, but no, no solid date yet. RE has a lot going on at the moment with RR2 and Akimbo etc. I'm trying to be patient. Design work is done until prototypes are made. So, we wait, and we wait. You can be sure that I will be more than thrilled to announce a date as soon as I have one. I've got other ideas I'd like to start working on...
