This is the Akimbo

Would it be worth it running ddrt? I like the adjustability, not a huge fan of the spiderjack, and tbh, have a huge issue with how petzl handled the zz v1 episode.

If I recall Jaime was careful not to over promise from the beginning. And I don't remember for sure but I think he even pointed out the possibility of losing ones money with regard to the original gofund me venture.

What I do know is that there are few people that keep an agreement and the intention of an agreement as well and with as much classy style as he has.

One thing that also amazed me was the time and effort he put into being at such a broad number of events to talk with people and give people a chance to try an Akimbo out in person. If everyone that has benefited from his efforts chimed in there would probably be 10 or 20 other major areas and ways that he went over the top on this.

If WE are lucky WE'LL get the chance to go along for the ride with him again on other products.
 
I think the wordsmithing was more like "the first batch is expected to ship in January" rather than "we will ship yours in January". They can only go by what RE is telling them. RE can only estimate how well production goes.

Has there ever been so much anticipation for anything in the tree climbing world? Seems like most things just show up in the catalogs or in online stores. Or maybe the pre-orders start as they are boxing them up at the factory... I know the evolution of this product brought it to the market in a unique way. Just curious if there has been anything else like it???

We at Gap Arborist Supply just want to clarify on the email that we sent to our customers. We have gotten a few phone calls where people thought the Akimbo was here. We don't currently have the Akimbo in stock. We are anticipating getting our order of the Akimbo about the same time as most other arborist suppliers, which is right around the corner. At this point all of our first allotment of the Akimbo is spoken for. Again, the email was only intended to notify our customers that the Akimbo release is imminent, not that we had them in stock and were ready to ship.

Also, the 10% discount that we are running doesn't apply to the Akimbo or other Rock Exotica products.

We have been waiting a long time for the Akimbo, and are super excited to see it released. All of us here at Gap Arborist Supply are gear heads, and love tree gear as much as all of you. We are expecting the Akimbo to be an amazing piece of gear, and we are excited to be a part of it.

I apologize and am responsible for any confusion. I have spent most of my career inhaling 2-cycle exhaust fumes, not crafting marketing or informational emails. I am far more comfortable running equipment than a keyboard.
