This is the Akimbo

Good idea. If I didn't already have one Akimbo I would up that offer to at least 100% for someone's spot in line.

After my last post I realized how thoughtless my cavalier attitude is about waiting for RE Akimbo release date since I am only waiting for a second, back-up unit. I get to climb on it every day. Sorry.

I predict that not only will it live up to all expectations for those waiting but that there will be a ton of happy posts for what a great tool it is to work with. I suspect the frenzy snd hype are yet to come, you will love it that much.

he he - just saw this:

"AKIMBO UPDATE

Rock Exotica has experienced some small delays due to a machine breakdown and additional Quality Control that they have added into the assembly process."

The saga continues!

I'm not even waiting for a reserved one and I feel anxious that I don't have one yet.
Were did you see this?

I wish everyone the best of luck on their pre-orders but I'm pretty happy that I went with the roperunner sale that was ran days before the pre-order began. Received it within 3 days of purchase at $100 off. I'm sure one day I will get an akimbo too, but I am going to make myself get comfortable on the runner first.

That being said I do still check in on this thread every time there is a new comment to see if it has been shipped yet. :sisi:

I kind of wish I just waited till they actually had them instead of pre-ordering, I'm the type of person that can wait forever before buying something but once I do I want it yesterday.

I already bought some rope just for it and a biner that I think that will work well....kind of sad really.

Being at the bottom of the list I'll get to admire all of yours, that should make me feel better :crying:

I couldn't bare to watch other guys having a blast with theirs after waiting for the release for so long.
This was the first year in my life of being grateful for being a December baby.
I got my spot on the pre-order list in the form of a combo present.
It will suck balls if I don't end up with one. :raro2:

I feel bad for Jamie.
His head is probably ready to explode if it hasn't yet.
Can't blame the guy for staying away from the forums.
He must be a wreck at this point. :loco:

He’s probably just as anxious as everyone else. It’s basically out of his control and he probably doesn’t get paid until shipment. I didn’t preorder but I will have one in due time

I have multiple runners and multiple wrenches. I love my runnners. I won’t lie, i pre-purchased an akimbo. I’m ok with the wait. I hope the product makes me as happy as it could be. I have a feeling it will be another go to device and love it for certain reasons and not for others. For instance... In wet weather there is no doubt that the wrench is king. The runner is silky smooth... especially when you groove the hell out of it. I’m looking forward to playing with this new tool.

I wish they would rush it out, and by generation three have them stop breaking...ah, wait, no ZigZag repeats. The first time I saw a ZigZag, I said there's no way I'm trusting that. In a perfect world, without branches in the way, a ZZ 1.0 probably woulda been fine. I love probablies in my life-support system.

I got to fly a prototype a long time ago. I know the production model will Kill it.

Patience is a virtue.

first in line. you should hold an auction for that placement. :envidioso
Who want's to start the bidding? ;)

I figured everyone else was going to buy from Wesspur, Preestuff, or Sherriprell Tree so I'd hedge my bet going with Gap.
Never though my horse (unicorn) would come in first.
You guys still sitting on the fence should take a shot with them.
Your odds would be far better than the big three.

Plus they're actually quite friendly and communicate with you without any "attitude."
And unlike a couple of other supply houses they don't leave you in the lurch wondering where your gear is and if you're ever going to get it.
I don't do pre-orders with PRE.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. :p
