Can you post a close picture of it on both side?? Pretty cool indeedThat is a Michoacán that uses a stopper at the end, I use it when using the Wrench, can get it very compact and no need for HitchClimber, threw mine away months ago!
Thanks Sir, appreciated!!View attachment 77947Tie the hitch, take the ends through the carabiner, cross them and take them to the back and tie a stopper knot. The knot acts as a tender by itself, but can be made easier by adding a bushing, or piece of water pipe. I tie a single overhand first and test the hitch, if working good I add another.
The hitch cord is Sterling FireTech 32, 7.5mm, Technora cover and core. I’m not a fan of the RITs except the 6.8 mm RIT single braid in the first picture.RIT and purple bounce Scandnot. Lordy, gives me cold sweats. ^^^^

I have been working with a 3/1 Michoacan now and then when I am feeling comfortable in the climb (broader, lower trees). it has less room to go slack.Try a 3/1 Michoacan with a 24" 8mm e2e. Amazing for a climber in your weight class.
Not double eye. It is Sumac. A treestuff yale 11.7 from back in the day. That is the original rope logic single tether. Think it was 10.5 inches. Reed does not come here anymore.Niiiiice!
Is that the double eye?
What rope and hitch you using?
Is it safe / good practice to have a single eye on a hitch climber? Not double eye. It is Sumac. A treestuff yale 11.7 from back in the day. That is the original rope logic single tether. Think it was 10.5 inches. Reed does not come here anymore.
Do you mean rubbing the top of the lips? Only touches there on weightless ascent. As soon as you put weight on it, it rotates counterclockwise (based on photo you posted), so rope is only touching the pulley. Is it safe / good practice to have a single eye on a hitch climber?
Does it not bend the entire system into a strange loading angle?
It's a cool colour the old sumac!
I just found this combo. I can’t believe/what a difference! It’s like getting in a Cadillac after driving some old jalope. Fast descents to milk the 11.7 rope or break in the hitch cord? Now I run 9.3 epicord 28"ers with yale 11.7 forever. I weigh 170. The micho runs flawlessly with little sitback. Cordage when new needs some long fast descents to set itself right. But once it has it's memory intact all it good. 10 AP can fly but prefer 9.3 epi.
Understand this. Happens because of the flattening. I hardly use my runners anymore. But you are correct. That 9.3 epicord on 11.7 is also probably my favorite so far, I have noticed if I’ve been on the rope runner a bunch that my go to hitch tends to creep a bit when I go wrench/hitch system.
Safe, tried and tested. Works lovely. I used to use a rubber grommet to keep things from sliding around. Is it safe / good practice to have a single eye on a hitch climber?

I’m contacting all the rope manufacturers to personally make me a rope that won’t do that, it will not callus my hands either! Looks similar to my wrench setup, have you seen arbsessions new variation of wrench tether? Looks promising.Understand this. Happens because of the flattening. I hardly use my runners anymore.
