Just put the 3rd coat of poly after I rounded the edges a little with some fine paper. After it dries then 400 grit and wax. Shiny shiny.

i have, the lumpiness people say it gets is noticeable with a hitch. can't really feel it with mechanicals

I hate to be a wet blanket, but Polly stays somewhat tacky. Try CA glue; that is a common finish for wood turned pens.

Guess I have to get all the pine sap finger prints of the body now. I got ha with the poly. I'll fine sand and wax. Hopefully that will take care of the tachyness
