rope runner

So I dropped my runner from 60' today onto concrete pavers. Day five in a row of rain or rain/wind related emergency calls on top of normally scheduled jobs, last job, pouring rain, pulling my rope, didn't see that runner was still on. It rode up to my TIP, and tended cleanly off the end of the line. 6 inches to the right would have put it in the mud.
Shoot dang. I'm so bummed.

Really sorry to hear of this John. Hopefully all of the extra work will have more than paid for a new one. Or two, if the mood strikes.

Jon, I got a couple BDB's and no real tree work planned for a while. If would like to borrow my Royal Blue Runner until Sants comes just let me know. I can get it in the mail tomorrow if you need it.

Frank, that's a hell of an offer. Let me send you a pm

Dave, it's my own fault, lack of focus trying to get out of the rain faster, Kevin is certainly not on the hook for it. I'm not aware of any thing insurance wise. Is there something that would cover an employees personal gear?

If you require the apparatus for employment then you may have a viable claim for an insurance claim. As far as Kevin B , he may have the replacement parts for you to purchase, by no means would the damage be his fault. Just a less expensive means of repairing your RR. I'm just looking at alternative means of being productive for the least amount of greenbacks.

Frank, I got my walnut pieces in the mail....took some time to sand everything down properly, and they feel great. I think I may be utilizing my thumb on the bird a lot more. Very comfortable. Thank you once again.

Also got mine today (thanks again Frank). They look great even though I haven't had a chance to sand then down yet. What are you guys thinking for the finish?

I'd like to know too. Feel like I might be missing something. I saw Kevin Sunday but forgot to ask him to show me.
