rope runner

Frank, did you make any of these? I would be very interested to try these out. Pretty please? : )

Sugru just can't make it for the long haul!

I did Mike. My Aluminum guy wants $7.00 per blank, no radii. The Walnut guy wants $1.00 per blank, no radii. They both want 100 piece minimum order, and then they would still need the edges rolled over. What I don't think anybody wants is a pair of $50 cusions. What I'm thinking about is having the Walnut blanks cut and then just having the end user smooth the edges themselves, we all own files. What I'm not sure of is if I can mail them with an envelope and a stamp or if they are going to cost a few bucks to ship in an bubble pack. Of course the same could all be said about the Aluminum also but I think the Walnut might be the best option for the cost. Any thoughts? Anyone.

I'm thinking walnut would work quite nicely.

But on the other hand it's something that shouldn't be that hard to make with a scroll saw, so I don't know.

Walnut sounds great. I think you could send them in a regular envelope. I can't imagine them being too heavy. I'm in. Let me know if you need anything from me.

Has anybody spent much time on Teufelberger Platinum (orange larger diameter) with the Runner?

I was climbing on that exact rope yesterday for a beech removal , and there less bounce than the kernmaster , but there is s strange feeling with the rope when it pas threw the runner....I don't know if it is because the cover and the heart of the platinum is attach to each others but.....I when for a swing and a fast descent , and i was not able to stop myself before touching the ground....Bollard wide open , wich is perfect for my kernmaster... It's a no go for me.

Frank I'm in for 4. Let me know!

Hey, I'm in on either material you choose, Frank. Let me know how much upfront $$ you need to assist. I personally would think the Aluminum, being the same material as the RR, would heat/cool at the same temp. Has any thought gone into the expansion of Walnut to Aluminum be? Either way, count me in! Thanks Very Much, for the leg work.

I would like to try out 4. I wonder though if the profile of my Proto-Franken-Runner matches my Blue one. I'll take a peek as soon as I can.
