Laser guy came through, tomorrow off to the post office to see if I can mail them in an envelope.

I used gorilla glue on my aluminum one. Should also work with wood. Any good (3M) double sided sticky tape might work. I use it in work all the time and if I'm not careful removing it I will actually tear chunks of plywood apart. What I may try just for the cool factor would be brass rivets so it looked like a knife handle would.
 
Somebody somwhere was asking about bollard wear and when to rotate or replace but I can't find the thread so I am putting the thought here. Treestuff just put out a video that explains all of that.

 
How do you think it will handle getting wet? Some sort of urethane would help. Wet was the biggest enemy of the wooden rope wrenches i made.
 
Conversion varnish. Chemically changes the wood into plastic. Or simple spar varnish (urethane) like Bing said.

Wow, so I've worked my friction axels pretty hard then at this point. Any body else's look a bit more grooved than the one they showed a ready to replace?
