rope runner

The Spiderjack brake is made of Guarag, it's virtually the hardest wood available. Not cheap either. I run the SJ 2.1 & RG w/cocoon. I absolutely love it. I run Samson Velocity with it and it's a blast for swinging & branch jumping.

Forgive me for not knowing this off the top of my head, but what is meant by "RG w/cocoon"? I know a little about the ART cocoon pulley, but I'm having a hard time coming up with the meaning of "RG".

Thanks for any responses, in advance.

A wood friction plate wood be so awesome....let me put my thinking cap on....mahogany would work here....just need a carver to make one for me to try....lignum vitae...would be ideal but sooooo hard to work with that small...

I have had a bump from the originals made, never tried the damn thing....will do so today on the royal blue runner I just picked up...

Okay, the RG w/cocoon, is ART's RopeGuide friction saver w/cocoon pulley, Tim. It is the other half of the climbing apparatus for the SpiderJack 2.1. I hope that makes sense, I'm typing while splitting rounds.

Took my new blue runner for a spin today on a red oak prune, I switched over to my rope wrench in the tree. Runner was a bit jumpy on release, I'm used to one-handed releasing the hitch on limb walks, runner wasn't cooperating. Climbing on basal anchored Tachyon. Does the baby bump improve this?

I would say in general, yes. So does break in/ wearing of new parts...
Spend some more time on it, rec climbing ;-)
