Not until I write it..
think about it.. have you ever seen a co-dom with a split trunk twisting in the wind? its just common sense that a triangulated cable system would prevent that kind of twisting.
Apparently there is a lack of that going around these parts.
Like you'd think the moderators of this forum would have the common sense and integrity to enforce their written policies, as follows:
"not use this BB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law....
So basically, please keep it clean, no personal attacks, no porn, no slander, and no posting of private communications"
When the smack talk starts all intelligent conversation ceases... Just re-read the thread... tremendous opportunities are lost.. In this business that could be a matter of life and death. This is no joke... no "sandbox" or romper room... Allowing that smack talk to continue is a safety issue....
For example the following intelligent statement could save a life down the road..
That tree wasn't as dangerous as it looked... especially working from the bucket... a chain and binder around the trunk split, or whipped with a bull line, backed up with a triangual support line, set some 10-20' above the split, with a MA system, would have made that tree safe enough to climb and rig from. Especially if you can start by taking some weight off. In 94 I climbed and rigged out a 80-90' co-dom ash, that was split as bad as that, on a windy day. Tree made these popping sounds every time the wind blew. Right over a parking lot by the cricket club on montgomery ave... When I asked Pete davis, who was going up there, him or me, he just laughed at me.
not that I AM questioning your methods. Nice to be able to land those bits flat, and no problem with the clean up as long as you have a skid steer. Just making a point about other options..
I AM sure there are plenty of others here that would rather hear that kind of intelligent response than all the smack talk. I hope you have it in you to let the moderators know, and ask them to enforce their policies.
Listening to all this smack is such a turn off. Its unbelieveably juvneille and extremely distateful to me. The bottom line here is that Holly is starting the vast majority of the smack, slander, and hateful speach. He is singlehandedly damaging this container, making it unsafe for those with thin skin to speak up, and creating an atmosphere where the lopudmouths dominate, which chases away anyone with some sense and experience.
If you want it to be different around here, let the moderators know.. It may be their house, but its only a party because we come here. Power to the people!
