My new knuckleboom

I’m just trying to understand why. I’m a guy that buys a shopping cart full of toothpaste when it’s buy one get one. If I’m buying chain, I want to buy in by the roll. What are the specs? Is it 3/8 0.50? Or is it 3/8 0.63 or something different entirely?

Never considered how the piece wants to flop down onto the cut, unless you're able to lift it fast enough, or slow enough to get it to drag on the way to the low-energy position. Seemed to put a hit on a shaky stem.

Looks like a great investment for your company.

It was very dead. Otherwise, it’s pretty smooth. I just couldn’t afford to break cut any logs like I would normally do. I had to cut all the way through. Usually I can scope in while I lift up and not even touch the remaining wood with my cut piece

If it’s just .404” 0.063”,
Here is 1 option.

I’ve got a buddy in NY that carries Carlton .404” round ground full Skip for his local harvestor customers.

I’ve got a few loops of 123dl for my bigger saw.

I appreciate the info. Found out it is .404 but not 0.63 it actually 0.80. Think I’m going to order a 100’ roll of it

How long do you get on your mec battery? The gentleman who came to train me would just change it every time. Also, when it runs low, what happens?

In addition, what batteries do the controller take and what frequency do they need changing?

I change it every couple days.. Once i got it stuck and had to get the bucket to reach the Mecanil and replace the battery!

The chain needs to fit 18HX bar by oregon. The battery in the sg280 will last longer if you unplug it after you use it. I get at least a month of use out of mine. The remote battery lasts about 8 hours
Wow I didn't think unplugging it would help that much . I Probably get about a week out of the grapple saw battery, but to prevent what happened to me earlier I just swap them every 2 or 3 days. The batteries from the small 3-button remote for the Mecanil were replaced only twice since I've been running it from The fall of 2017

What kind does the small remote take?
