Mathew looks devastating

yes, I have lot on the list.. thniking about buying another rg-100... Flying to california for a week on thursday which is non negotiable.. might be able to get back tuesday..

What grinder are you currently using? You make enough money on stumps to justify the cost of the 100? They just seam so friggan expensive. I am looking at an rg 50 right now and that is 20K. Just seams like a lot to grind stumps. Thats used, the new ones are WAAAAY expensive.

Latest model runs have it menacing the coast and then heading offshore, possibly not even making landfall. Pushed back east.

Storm chasers be damned, no one should have to deal with that mess.

Now it looks like Matthew is getting pulled out to sea after Florida. Southern folks will still see some damage. I'm so relieved, I can't deal with 40 calls by 9:00 every morning after a storm. I start losing hair.

I may be going to a coastal Florida community outside of my work zone. I don't know the wood hauling routines out there.

How do I manage wood from the curb to offsite for this hurricane? Does a government entity do any hauling? Do I only contract my services to haul to the curb?

My rig is a Chevy blazer, standard 16' long double axle flatbed trailer rated to 7000lbs gvwr (5500 lbs. loads), Ditch Witch Sk650 mini skid with bmg attachment and Stumper 220 grinding attachment, a grcs, and the usual kit for a climber and a crew of 0-3.

What does an A climber with multiple saws max 24 inch bar. All rigging gear except grcs including heavy rigging ropes get per hour? No room and board needed my front seat is all I need

I'm pretty sure Royce would make it well worth it for whoever he sends down, or maybe he'll go himself.

I would make it worth it. It would not be me that goes. It would be my operator who has over 35 years in the industry. He actually prefers to climb off the crane, but is equally as qualified to operate it.

We have two skid steers, two buckets, two large stump grinders and a horizontal grinder with excavator and front end loader ready to go north if needed. Waiting to get a good assessment in the morning.
