lost testicle due to leg straps

One other thought....

TreeMotion---- the saddle sooooo comfortable, you would give you left nut for it!!!!

The kolibri leg straps are stiff, I used a bosun (versatile) for a long time..very comfortable. The kolibri is the best of both worlds as far as the "chair" effect. Being split( the legstraps) as they are, allows for the extra mobility too. I haven't met a saddle that doesn't require a little extra adjustment now and then. Is there any climber out there that has never made an "adjustment" while aloft?

Danielson,
That would be all good and well except it wasn't the left.

Not only that, but also at least 50 other people went through the decision process in their heads about whether to write something like that, and thought better of it.

Maybe that should be their new advertising campaign!

I am just amazed I have now reached 4 pages about my testicle. I am still making a full recovery and have a Dr.'s appointment on Monday to see how much longer for the release.

Tyler, Your sense of humor will do you good in this life, not to mention it speaks volumes of your character.
I can't imagine losing a "member of the family" like that. Thanks for posting about it. It has already made me aware of an injury I never really considered a possibility. We'll keep you in our prayers for a full recovery. Climb on!

I for one will be glad to see you better and back to work.
I am REALLY getting tired of your PMS harrassing me about how much time I spend on the buzz.

Tyler, I am so sorry to hear this. I was in San Diego visiting my daughter and family for the holiday and got back in town late last nite. Treedogg did call me to give me a heads up, but this is the 1st I'm hearing of the surgery.
Having a positive mental attitude (PMA) helps tremendously with the healing process. Here's to a quick and complete recovery my friend. God bless.

dude,

i not only feel for you, but am terrified about my petzle sequaia saddle. i have been climbing in it for about 3months and have had a few severe pinch situations, and now my boss has one and any time wearing carhart bibs or cover-alls it pinches. just wondering if you were in these when it happened??? and do you think it is a saddle design flaw or one of those unavoidable things that happens to us tree people???????

get well soon
the climber

Lucas,
I was just in boxers, long underwear, and arborwear pants. I think that it could've been avoidable by checking the leg straps more carefully. As far as design I think if the leg strap was more independant from the suspension point, or bridge might help out too.

OHHHH.... blah blah blah.

I know it was a testicle and all, and i am sure it hurt.... but it is not THAT bad. If fact, its kinda cool. Ya know,, the type of thing that you may talk about at the bar and call ya "lefty" or somthing

anyway, my point is not to be "insensative" but to be realistic. it's kinda funny.
i mean... the guy got his nut cut off and didnt even feel it.... I mean really....,..that is kinda funny ... dontcha think????

I do any way.

I know that we are in the "awakenings" room so its supposed to be all "serious" but a nut getting cut off isnt anything like when jerry got his foot caught.

THAT was somthing that will affect the way he walks for life.

however, with a nut, he will still be "up and running" in no time.
