I have 6 employees with health insurance and a retirement plan. Both are important to provide for my employees as a benefit mainly because if I don't, they won't. Yes it is costly and yes I am one of the more costly people to use for tree care. To me, it adds value to both my employees and my customers. You really have to genuinly care for your staff. This in turn has them care for the customer. Helps keep the same staff year after year. Re-training is even more expensive.
I still think the "system" is garbage. Both the health care and the markets. I can't self insure health and even I would not trust me holding on to funds for retirement :|.
