Grapple Truck Body Build

T1 steel is 100ksi; typical mild steel, A36, is 36ksi, so just about 3 times stronger in tensile strength.... I think you'll be more than fine.


The disaster/hurricane trucks I've seen haven't been 1/4" even in the floor. Those are some of the lightest built trucks I've seen, built for yardage.

Are you going to have a "mother's attic" or just a cab protector?
 
I wanted something a little different with some angles to take some of the boxy look out of it but still have some places for clearance lights on the front. So I had some left over steel that was bent from the last box I built and this is what I came up with. I still have to cut the holes for the lights up front.
