Ive had good luck with a product line called p.o.r. 15. Start and etching primer and wash then slap the "paint" on. Sand if needed, i overlayed with a little bit of high fill auto primer. Shot paint.

Did you go with 1/4" material for the floor? Plug welding is very labor intensive on that size material. We used to plug weld concrete deck with 1/8" 6011 and the welding machine turned all the way up. no drilling. Just push the rod in and pull it out. if i have done one of those deck welds, then i have done a couple hundred thousand. some companies used jet rods (huge black 5/32 7022s) but those didn't work as well in my opinion. but concrete deck doesn't see the movement that the bed of that truck is going to see. did you stitch weld the the deck to the floor support as well? I am getting ready to redo the bed of my grapple truck as well in january. I am thinking 3x6 thin wall tube for the side and top plate and 3x3 thin wall tube for the wall support 11 gage sides and 1/4" floors with the floor being channel on 2' centers

Hey Jeff I did go with 1/4 T1 steel plate for the floor. I welded a solid bead around the outer perimeter of the 1/4 plate to the 4x4x1/4 tubing then stitch weld the 4" 9 lb per foot ibeam crossmembers to the deck that are on 20" centers. I used a hougen frame drill with a annular cutter drill bit that worked Awesome!!!!

Hey Randy welcome to the buzz!!! Fellow treebuzzers Randy is the owner of Quality Equipment out of north florida who I have purchased my second barko 80. Randy is stand up and sells and services quality equipment (hints the name). I have had nothing but good experiences doing business with him and will continue. If you guys are in the market for a new/used loader give him a call. Randy I'm excited to get back and see the new loader with the left handed control station and the new longer 24/27 longer boom.

Yellow one is the one on my grapple truck black one is one for a guy I just built a grapple truck for steel is t1 and a-36 and a513 only issue with t1 is preheat requirements make it kind of a pain but have been using yellow one for over 2 years with no issues

Thanks Axe for posting the pictures. I am waiting for the 3/16 T1 steel plate for the sides of the body. When I started the build I called to check on availably of the t1 and was told no problem so I ordered the steel for the floor/subframe. Before I left to go on vacation I went to go order the 3/16 t1 plate and couldn't get it in 8x24 sheets after a pile of phone calls I found a supplier who could get them they say they will be deliver wednesday. Once they are I'll start to build the sides and post pic along the way
