Damn that is very nice. I do like the western stars. Man you put my favorite motor in it as well. This one’s has a c15 KOH in it, as most of the trucks I found with a 60 series were not double frame and we’re beat to hell.

Regarding the box material. Can you provide any input on that?

I’m a horsepower junkie and the c15 is king. Going to reflash the ecu after a year to an older 600hp file. Truck is a few months from completion. 6nz,18 speed ,4.10 46k rears.
Bed material is hardox 450. 1/4 floor and sides. I can’t recall the tubing size but the design has been updated over the years and believed to be the strongest. Edgewood welding out of PA built it. He is known for his storm trailers and attention to detail.
12.7 Truck weighs 46k empty. Double frame ,Allison , 46 rears. Two 20k drop axles.

Wow, that looks good! And that engine/trans combo has me jealous! I love high horsepower diesels, especially Cats. A cousin of mine owns a truck shop near here, they build some impressive trucks. He had one triaxle dump putting out just under 800 to the ground every day. That truck was impressive to hear!

Believe it or not the 12.7 runs really well if you change to a K31 turbo. Power and responsive.

Its incredible how well some diesels run. 700-800hp in a diesel would be wild.
