Grapple Truck Body Build

I maxed the trucks rear suspension on the truck and pulled a tape and 5 inches is what I needed so if the truck got in a ditch or bind the tandem would not hit the bed

Just got the bottom all welded up and ready to flip it over.

Does the loader sit directly on the truck frame?

I would have thought you would have to extend that 5" subframe right to the back.

here classictruckman how the loader mounted on my last one I built. I would have liked to run a sud frame under the loader but it would have put me with a overall height of 13'7". I left about 4 feet to the rear where I didn't run the 2 sil members so I can build a storage rack underneath the body for aturnamats and rakes.

How do you like that loader compared to a prentice or serco or rotobec ?? What grapple do you run ??

I can't compare it to any other loader because it's the only ones I've owned but it's very we'll build and it's lift chart is just
as good if not better than some other loaders in its class. I have been running a hiab/loglift bypass grapple but considering a debris grapple like a heilden/ or rotobec 045. Any ideals or thoughts?

I wouldn't have a clue which paint to use.

It seems like it would be best to prime and paint as you go. Since it was upside down and flat it would be the easiest time to paint. At least get primer and the first color coats on. As you assemble it you will paint again and again until you put on the last coat which will give it the ultimate curb appeal.

That's what I learned when I worked for a company that made large abrasive planers and sanders. The frame weldments were primed and painted along with the body panels. Then, after the machines passed their tests they were cleaned, masked and given the final paint and detailing.
