Grapple Truck Body Build

I didn't take notice I was by myself loading it and it was windy so I had to tie two tag lines off to the outriggers of the crane once it was picked up and then back the trailer under it. But the truck is being rigged for the loader and there is a scrap yard close to the shop so I'm going to weigh it then mount the body and weigh it again so I let you know. I have kept the weight slips from buying all the steel adding them together I'm coming up around 9300LB

Looks great. Im wondering. What do they use for hydraulic hard lines?
Don't have to worry about them rubbing or chaffing and shouldn't have to worry about them rusting through here down south they are the same thing on like a skidsteer or Excavator boom and they still provide plenty of flex

Im sorry. I was asking what type of pipe and fittings. Ive thought about using hard lines on my trailer rebuild. Just have problem finding it in bulk.

Steel lines on a grapple truck suck if/ when they rust out or blow because you have to pull the box off to replace....but down south shouldn't have much to worry about and you own a crane so pulling the box off isn't a big deal he did a very nice job plumbing nice and neat

Yea thankfully by luck the way everything is going to lay out we will be able to replace a line if need be but I have seen equipment with hard lines that is 30 + years old that have what look to be original lines. I honestly thank that that are a better choice then rubber hoses. But just my opinion!!

The pump that supply's the loader is a triple gear pump (26/21/15 gpm)plus return line and hydraulic oil cooler

Hey guys. The steel lines were flared for JIC ends. We used heavy duty tube clamps to secure them. The steel lines are a little cheaper than running 4 wire hose down the frame and less likely to rub!
