Fu*%face Von Clownstick

I just got back from ten days visiting a friend in Stockholm, Sweden. I have never felt so embarrassed to be an American in my life. Like the rest of the World, they are watching this election happening in one of the two most powerful countries on Earth right now, and I constantly faced questions and scrutiny from everyone I met, to see if I was a Trump supporter. I met absolutely no one the entire time who wasn't worried that the US has gone completely nuts with the worship of this egotistical, vindictive, self-centered, lying, morally disgusting, uneducated, and shallow arsehole.

How do parents answer questions about these stunts from children?

In august 1974 Nixon resigned. I was so happy and was talking w my Dad. His prescient comment has stuck with until rump came along:

“Nixon is a bad one but during your life there will be worse”

I would have had to ask him what rump was doing wile the mic. Dads reply would have given him pause and been awkward I know

. . . “Nixon is a bad one but during your life there will be worse”. . .
Far, far worse, for sure. Nixon at least was an effective president in many ways and well respected World wide for most of his presidency, while our allies and the rest of the World consider Trump to be an unstable, uneducated oaf and a buffoon, as well as a serious danger to global security with his admiration of several of the worst and most aggressive dictators. I don't feel, given how it takes a significant degree of ruthlessness and cunning, as well as incredible amounts of money and funding, to get ahead in American politics, that a totally honest person could ever make a good president. But Trump tips the scales way over what is workable in our democracy. He literally has no redeeming qualities at all and represents the biggest threat our country has faced since the Civil War with his divisive, racist rhetoric and habitual lying. He is bringing out the very worst undercurrents in our national character, even encouraging them and making them acceptable.

My step grandmother was Austrian, I still have her menorah. My step mom had a postcard with a photo of their family house in a beautiful feild and mountains in the background.
She was 14 when the house was taken and forced to become a nurse for the Germans. She escaped from behind the iron curtain and I never got those details.
Anyway when I was about 14-15 she pulled me aside and looked me stone cold in the eyes. ‘What is your plan? You must always have a plan to escape.’
The weight of her words and blunt frankness with her thick accent has never left me.

Well, if you ask his supporters, they will tell you that he has lots of redeeming qualities. They love the shit that comes out of his mouth, and the way he speaks. That is the scarier reality to me. He is just one man, and could do no harm without the ardent support of his legion. The real problem that we face is that regardless of what happens on Tuesday, we still have to live with the unabashed racism and bigotry that is the root of this. This is so much deeper than this one election and we need to reckon with that.

More violent rhetoric from Donny. This time directed at journalists and the media. Political opponents? Check. The media? Check. Who’s next?

Here's my prediction.. we're going to go to bed on Yuesday thinking that Trump won enough of the swing states to win (just like last time) and then the next day the counts for Kamala will show that she made up so much ground overnight that she's the new winner... Smae as it was for Biden in 2020... When I went to bed Trump as ahead by 300,000 votes in PA.. Only to find out that Biden made all that up and more in the over night counting.... not so

Little vague here bro. Did Biden win PA in 2020?

Some of the most meaningful words on the subject by someone who recognizes that both candidates have real, significant flaws.

I urge everyone to hear this message

Seemed pretty one sided to me. Definitely didn't hear him express any flaws of Harris. Definitely heard some lies about Trump and his supporters. But hey everyone has the right to their opinion and the right to vote for their candidate.

He clearly states that she won't make life significantly better, and will not do much to stop the 1% from fucking us all over; that she "definitely won't do anything to stop Israel from flattening Gaza". Those aren't criticisms?

Alrighty then...it was completely fair and balanced (rolling eyes).

Balanced wasn't what I said it would be. Actually read the words I used, as I try my best to choose them carefully. I said there are valid criticisms of both candidates. I don't like Kamala either bro, but the message presented above isn't about this election, it's about making real change in the real world around each of us. The world won't get significantly better or worse because of one asshole in the whitehouse. As I have said before, the most meaningful changes only come from collective actions; from communties working together DAY AFTER DAY to bring forth those changes for ourselves. You might find that if you actually take the time to talk with people outside of your tribe about what you can do to collectively bring forth that change that you want to see, that you may see real, meaningful change a lot faster than if you just vote on Tuesday and then go back to minding your own business and wishing things would get better.

Who says I don't? I make it a point to listen to multiple sides of the news and topics, and talk meaningfully to people on different sides of topics...without judgment or attacking them personally. I've spent time in other countries, and in this one, doing community service work.

Just because my views and conclusions are different from yours, doesn't mean I just stick my head in the sand.

I'm definitely more in favor of doing things collectively, then letting the government just screw it up and waste our money (and get rich on it).

Out of curiosity, what were the lies about trump/ets presented in that clip?

I'd have to re listen to the video to get specific to it, and I not really feeling like doing that. There has been a lot of lies about trump in general: very fine people, ban abortion etc. Look up full clips of what he said, not just the clips some podcasters and main stream media show. Some of these have been debunked by Snopes etc...though it took them way to long to do it and news doesn't change their reporting.

I'm not a fan of trump's attitude etc. But neither am I for outright lies, completely open borders, not being energy independent, loss of American jobs and technology (due to illegals and cheap 3rd world slave labor making our "toys"...and also doing far worse to our climate then we would if it was manufactured here), wars etc. I personally I also like that Trump is bringing in people from different walks of life (Elon, Tulsi, RFK, and many other formerly democrat podcasters etc). Who does Harris have...Hollywood, war mongers (Cheney, Clintons), far leftists, no real thoughts/policy of her own that she has been consistent on (word salad dripple mostly).

America has been energy independent since the Obama administration, and continues to do so.

America lost 3 million jobs during the Trump presidency.

Trump did zero to fix illegal immigration during his presidency, including in the 2 years that the republicans held the Oval Office, the Senate, and the House.

What with Arnold Palmer cock, “a concept of a plan“, and Trumps now infamous “weave” the the irony of a cult member accusing someone of word salad dribble and a lack of policy is not lost on us.
