I have also grown goji berries by planting dried berries from the store. They obviously must be separated after sprouting. It occurred to my wife to try it out after we noticed a few mulberry sprouts growing out of the compost after composting some stale trail mix that had storebought, dried, white mulberries in it. I wouldn't be surprised to find it works with any ol' dried fruit from the store.

That's cool, I would've guessed they were some sort of hybrid tomato that would not have grown from seed like that. Glad to hear that McDonald's is not using proprietary tomato seeds.

I have a 15 year old Meyer lemon tree I grew from seed.. daum thing still hasn’t flowered. After I committed and the kid got attached did I read up on them. It’s quite possible it won’t flower, internet is 50/50 on the topic.

Pretty much. Some of the big potato chip companies use proprietary potatoes, a friend of mine has a 600 acre potato farm near here and grows for two of the big manufacturers. The potatoes that are not used by the chip company may not be sold except to a dehydrator to be turned into potato flakes for instant mashed potatoes.
