Fu*%face Von Clownstick

When we sell fighters to foreign nations it is with vastly downgraded avionics, with possible exception of Israel. Also, the F15 is seventies tech. Military wouldn’t sell anything remotely capable of air superiority against us or presumably close neighbors.

That said, I generally agree that such sales are sometimes head scratchers.

Well, most of my electronics parts suppliers have been emailing me, lately...

Today, it was Allied Electronics.

"Unfortunately, due to the increases being passed on to Allied, prices on many of our products will be increased to reflect the additional charges related to the tariffs."

A Kenwood TS-830S transceiver has 277 electrolytic capacitors in it. These radios are all 25+ years old and part of restoring them requires replacing them all, since they're at the end of their life cycle. Of course, there are a few other components that have to be replaced, too, but just the e-caps alone adds a chunk of change to the bill. The additional 25% on the parts alone starts to creep the costs of restoration up to a point where the cost is more than the radio is worth, to anyone but a collector.

Sad, because they're fine, old radios. Some equipment, like the very nice Hewlett-Packard 8644A Signal Generator, restoration will cost more than replacement with something newer.

A little kick can send a snowball rolling down the mountain, where the damage keeps piling up a little bit at a time.

Regarding that disaster of a press conference, this about sums it up:View attachment 52816

Embarasssing. My only hope is that he conferred with Coates beforehand, assured him that he believes his own DNI over Putin, and then just told Putin whatever he wanted to hear. Apparently when you haven’t been told “no” for 50 years, it gets pretty hard to admit when you’re wrong.
Isn't Ben gonna feel like a douche when Mueller drops the conspiracy bomb! We all know coming

Conspiracy? I think you mean collusion. Except there is no such crime as collusion. Notice how careful media types are not to use that conspiracy word?

@JeffGu : I agree about tariffs. I’m not a fan of starting trade wars. I’m betting Trump knows China needs us more than we need them, hoping they’ll blink first. I wouldn’t make that bet. Chicoms are willing to watch their people suffer, plus they are unaccountable and insulated from the effects of the trade war.

No, I mean a criminal conspiracy. There will no doubt be American citizen indicted for working with Russia in the near future.
At some point the Trumpsters are gonna have to ask themselves why Donny is doing the things he is doing, as it pertains to Russia?

Maria Butina arrested and held without bail... (oh, the big bombs are starting to drop)... Judge Ellis delays Manafort hearing (is that a flipping noise I hear?)... Cheeto-in-Chief says Putin is a nice guy and wouldn't do bad things...

I seem to remember somebody warning us about all of this... hmm.. who was that? Oh, yeah! It was 8 days before the election...

Hillary Speech

I hope I live to see the day that a Libertarian candidate gets elected. I'm from inside the beltway and I feel politicians from both parties sell out their constituents behind closed doors to lobbyists and special interests. In what job(Congress) can one go in making x and come out of office with 100x, just for voting a certain way. I feel they are high fiving each other at Ruth Chris Steakhouse or at Sequoia in Georgetown after hours. Who knows what those freaks do, I bet there is an 'eyes wide shut' party happening every weekend.

Need a special something for the beach this summer. Here you go...;)

Gosh TC, but I think thats what they call a little misinformation. As you are well aware the last picture was taken after the murderous dictator Putin had attacked our election with the intent on helping get Trump elected. Instead of defending the American people as Trump is sworn to do, he chose to defend, protect, and has been aiding and abetting the man who continues to attack our sovereign nation.

Only one of those people was using Russian banks to finance his personal businesses... all but one of those people had diplomacy skills and relied on American intelligence agencies to brief them on Russian affairs of state before meeting with Putin... only one of those people has accused the entire intelligence and media communities of conspiring against them... all but one of the presidents pictured turned over their tax returns for public scrutiny prior to being elected... only one of those people has ever accused all of our allies and NATO of being our enemy... only one of them has publicly stated that they believe Putin over the several intelligence agencies who advise the President...

But, it's nice of you to throw an orange in with a basket of apples and say they're the same thing.
