Trump Sets Fraudster Free From Prison for a Second Time

In 2021, a convicted fraudster named Adriana Camberos was freed from prison when President Trump commuted her sentence.
Rather than taking advantage of that second chance, prosecutors said, Ms. Camberos returned to crime. She and her brother were convicted in 2024 in an unrelated fraud.
This week, Mr. Trump pardoned both siblings, marking the second time he had opened the prison gates for Ms. Camberos.
Their pardons were among a handful of clemency grants quietly issued by Mr. Trump on Thursday and Friday.
Among the other lucky recipients: a man whose daughter had given millions to a Trump-backed super PAC, a former governor of Puerto Rico and a former F.B.I. agent — all of whom had pleaded guilty in a political corruption case.
The pardons, most of which have not been previously reported, were supported by people with close ties to Mr. Trump’s orbit, including lawyers who had worked for him.
They continue a trend in which Mr. Trump has used the unfettered presidential clemency power to reward allies and those who have paid his associates or donated to his political operation. The approach stands in contrast to Justice Department guidelines that prioritize the clemency applications of people who have completed their prison sentences or demonstrated remorse and a lower likelihood of recidivism.

Most of the time when protests turn violent, it is a planted disruptor who ends up creating a validation for violence against protestors. This happens all over the place and is part of the fascist playbook. It is neither far-fetched nor a new tactic. It turns out that when you have no scruples, it is very easy to trick people and win. We are not all playing by the same rules, and in fact are not even playing the same game.

I like the sound of that. As long as the protests, stay peaceful and protest like, and don’t turn into looting festivals, I am all for it. I’m not so wild about the idea of dousing some poor guy with water in that cold though.
Looting festival? You do understand what a general strike actually is?

Some poor guy? A group of far right ICE supporters engaged in a conflict with Anti ICE protester and got their asses kicked with water balloons in sub zero temps.. Boo fucking hoo! At least they were not shot in the face a point blank range.

I’m far from a legal scholar but there is some legal agreement preventing the unions from banning together or implementing a general strike. This agreement does have an expiration date in the not too distant future.
Personally I wish they would just say to hell with it and do what they were founded to do!

Yup, and in my experience back in the day it was the police who escalated to the point there was no other recourse than to push back.
This is also exactly what the maga rally was intended to do. They had plans to burn a Quran in the Muslim side of town.
I’m not one for mass organized religion but I have enough respect for those as not to burn their holy texts.. isn’t there something in the founding documents about freedom of religion?
Down with that but not imposing upon others as mutual respect is equally important

Trump takes the next step in implementing Putin's life long dream of destroying NATO. As an added benefit the cost of living will rise and life will get a little harder for the American people. A win win?

How do Americans financial and visibly protest/ endorse such sides of a situation?

E.g. If a consumer wanted to buy American, the manufacturer should market it as American Made.

E.g. If a consumer wants to boycott a country's product, they can avoid it. They can share a message that they bought (arbitrarily) Swedish goods, not (arbitrarily) Russia goods.

E.g. When Russia invaded, Ukrainian flags popped up in visible support.

The UAW is asking on all the unions that can, to set up any new contracts to expire by the end of April 2028. They wanna organize the big strike for May Day '28. A lot of the unions have active contracts with explicit consequences for breaking them.

It's all coming home to roost, and America is gonna be on our own for the forseeable future.. Serves us fucking right!

You actually feel badly for what happened to Jake Lang in Minneapolis? Some poor guy…..

What The Actual Fuck? Do we really need anymore evidence that the petulant little man child is utterly unqualified (on every level) to be our commander in chief? 25th amendment anyone?
