Fu*%face Von Clownstick

I’d be curious to know what our tree friends in the north think of Trump’s idea to turn Canada into a US state. He says your taxes and health care would be better. How do you feel about that?

When taxes, or any expense is compared be careful to choose the same definition for ‘better’.

when comparing ‘taxes’ between MN and TX one could claim that TX has low and MN high. But…what is covered by a tax in MN is taken by a’service fee’ in TX.

When the same criteria is-used for. Both you’ll usually find that the ‘service fee’ scheme costs taxpayers more

As usual, consider the source

And listen to Taxman by the Beatles

... Musk is a nazi and every nazi on the planet needs to be afraid for their lives. Anyone who belongs to an ideology that seeks to kill others en masse based on their ethnicity is scum of the earth and should be afraid to walk out their door...

A strong statement. Do you have any reliable documentation to support it?

Do you not understand that your statement is just as hate filled and extreme as those it is targeting?

I usually point this out to trumpets here in CA, but they will often say that they don't need or want those benefits, without any consideration for what that would actually mean. Again, be careful when you start qualifying benefits to society at large as a benefit to any one individual, regardless of objective realities.

And just to be crystal clear, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of they few, and what is good for society at large is definitionally good for any individual within that group, on the whole and over the long term, regardless of what they believe on a given day.

Why wouldn't musk deny the gesture was a nazi salute? Even self described anti semites have cheered about it, so why wouldn't he seek to distance himself from that?

That is not evidence of a nazi ideology. I have used the same arm gesture many times during moments of excitement. It being similar to a nazi salute had nothing to do with it.

Like words, body movements need to be understood in context in order to understand what is meant.

Hard to sugar coat this very deliberation nazi salute (not once, but twice). And "the future of civilization is assured" WT actual F?

Just two days ago he appeared in a video in support of the German far-right group AfD, which aims to 'eliminate the free democratic basic order'. Its leaders have used nazi slogans and are generally considered 'Neo nazis'. Musk was in full support of this group, telling them to 'move beyond' nazi guilt.

Musk's grandparents, Wyn Fletcher and Joshua Haldeman, were nazi supports in Canada in the 40s.

Images of Musk's salute were banned from print in Germany as it was considered a symbol of an illegal organization. https://www.dw.com/en/germany-musk-tesla-nazi-salute/a-71403737

Hating nazis is protecting the common good. They are a dangerous plague to our society. it is NOT in a way equivalent to hating someone for their religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. These are people united with an aim to destroy people because of their identities. A little insane I need to remind people why nazis are bad, but now I know something important about you.
Silence speaks volumes.
yea the silence says I had something to do this morning other than explain to adults why the nazi ideology must be stopped. I was at a tree protection task force meeting presenting the data I collected for Helene storm damages. I’m working on a paper, highlighting the work I’ve been doing trying to get a better sense of failure profiles, seeing what species and size of trees were more prone to failure. Actually I’ll be presenting at the ISA conference in Memphis in April.

Context does matter! I agree! Like being in front of a large crowd during the victory day for the far right candidate of a large country.. to make this hand gesture certainly evokes something. And that it’s the richest man in the world…? Are you blind to what this statement is? The rest of the world reads the statement loud and clear.

Brilliant! Thank you!

I'm so tired of being called a Hater for condemning despicable concepts and actions. You know, all that stuff that your teachers, parents, pastors, and historians told you were hateful by nature: Nazism, racism, misogyny, rape, lying, stealing, cheating, and so on.

Yesterday, I went for my latest COVID vaccination. [Yes, while I know many here will hemorrhage cerebrally at the thought, I still believe in vaccines! (My two dead cousins did not believe, if that means anything to the naysayers.)]

The technician handed me a CDC notice regarding COVID, etc. I, jokingly, told him that he was breaking the law by distributing CDC information. He said, "CDC, are they still around?" To which, I answered, "Not for long."

The DOJ, the Defense Dept., the CDC, school departments, state governments, corporations, and many more are being prevented from doing their essential jobs (you know, protecting us) and are instead being urged to route-out, rat-out stump's opponents. If you think that is any different than painting yellow "Juden" Stars of David on homes and businesses in 1940's Germany, you're mistaken. And, oh Man, Mother-F-ers, do I hate that!!!

It's OK to hate hateful people and things. It was once seen as universally commendable to hate Nazis. To now think that Nazi tenets and symbols of any kind are cool, means that you were sleeping during World History class and never woke up. It also means that hundreds of thousands of our/your grandparents died in vain. Nazis suck, OK, and I hate them. Deal with it!

I believe it was Butch over at the Treehouse who used to say- I am only racist towards racists.

And yea, it is ok to have hatred, disdain, loathing, and disgust for things that are evil.

Was referring to Elon specifically. If his gesture had been misinterpreted by 3/4 of the western world I feel he would have attempted to explain himself. Instead he leaned even further into Nazi ideology by speaking at a neo-Nazi event.

Where's Anonymous when you need them. Would love to see the X logo turned into a swastika across the web so everyone knows what they're supporting when they use it.
Ah, sorry for my assumption!

Wow! Good thing you have a thorough understanding of how and when to apply hate. So we kill all the nazi because "They are a dangerous plague to our society". That was easy, great, yeah hate works well. Umm... who's next?

Having read the links you posted I heard nothing from Elon claiming to be a nazi. Nothing he said if not taken out of context would be misconstrued as evil. For all I know he might very well be a nazi but until he definitively makes that clear, I'm not going to judge him. So do we kill all those that might be nazi just in case?
